I've been watching your website, waiting patiently for the Rough Stack to be back in stock.
Just received the latest newsletter and was shocked and a little concerned:

Coming this week - Rough Stack v2. This is the newest version of our premier mod with a little more refined look to it.

A "more refined look" ??? :grr:

I'm hoping it is NOT too refined, and still worthy of the name Rough Stack,
please tell me I'm worried about nothing.......

Did the pic not load in your email? As far as looks go I think it is just nice polished metal. It almost looked like stainless but I have been known to be wrong lol

The finish is machined (shiny but not reflective). If you drag a fingernail down the side, you can feel tiny ridges that are much like your fingerprint or the grooves in a vinyl record (but much smaller).

I have a stainless steel 510 atty and a brushed aluminum drip tip on mine right now and it's gorgeous. It looks nice enough to show off but there is nothing fragile about it.

What grit finish would you guess? Maybe 600? I like when mods are not polished to a mirror finish because they are a lot easier to keep looking nice, so this sounds great. I have a couple mods with the record sounding finish and they are great for not showing finger prints.

Maybe slightly finer than 600. It's very difficult to feel that it is textured with your skin (like running your finger down it) but you can feel it with a fingernail and you can hear it if you drag a fingernail down it beside your ear.

fingerprints do not show. And dirt and grease wipe right off of it if you wipe in the same direction as the grooves. My job is a little messy sometimes. I wiped the rough stack down just a few minutes ago and there's no evidence left of of all the muck from the plasma table that was all over my hands.

hoog is not playing fair!!!!!!!

just got the rough-stack V2 AND the e-power kits in stock at the same time.
I've been sitting putting items into and then removing them from my cart,
just can't make a fruiting decision!!!

e-power is interesting, but I've wanted the roughstack for a while now.......
there goes my vaping budget, blown to heck and back

O M G! I went in on Friday to pick up the E Power, and asked to see the V2 as I wasnt sure if I was going to do the EPower or upgrade my roughstack. Though I went for the E Power, man do I want one! It's at the core the same, but it's Puuuurdy! Shiny, and the best part?!? The screwing is smooth! I don't have such an issue with my stack, but when I use my extension, I bind all the time, and that won't be and issue for the V2 at all! If you're considering the roughstack - go with the V2.....

Hoog - It may be time to rename - methinks the smoothstack ;-)

I believe that band is from Scotland if I'm not mistaken from back in the 80's?

Yes. Late 80s, and they're still performing (only 2 original members now though)

I have to admit to being something of a Celtophile. From the orchestra pit to the mosh pit, I just plain like music... but there's something about pipes, drums, fiddles, and penny whistles.
