I use avivi nova all day at work...as does my nephew...he vapes cinnamon all day ...i have been vaping a high citrus blend called "pg hype" and another citrus called "retro plasma"...neither of us have experienced and cracking....i own 5 vivi novas and a few kangers..t3's and a few MT'S.....i have never experienced any cracking ....maybe those are made of unicorn hair too.....

Not all polycarbon will crack from juice....but drop a glass tank from the counter on to a tile floor and odds are you gonna lose the tank....odds are more against a glass tank cracking from dropping it than a poly tank is from juice...

Glass tanks break from impact...fact...but you dont see people trashing them because of it

Are you really trying to prove some point or are you just bored.

I only store my nic-base and juice in glass bottles, same for any juice tank.

It's a standard I insist on. Nicotine is known for etching at least some types plastics, possibly polypropylenes too. It's still not known to what extent leeching takes place, and if so, and heated, ending up in your lungs. It's reactions are unknown too. Some flavors outright attack such materials. I won't take those chances. You could say it's a personal choice one makes about his/her health.

Yes, glass tanks break, but not easily, and I have never had one broken. Whenever I order a Genny, I always order a couple of glass tanks alongside, so the breakage is not really more than a $3 issue. I'd be much more worried about badly nicking or scratching the genny up.

I'm sure at some point we'll see a glassed RRST and I think that may be something to look forward to. That being said, the RSST is a great starter deal, but I'm sure in due time you'll also adapt these concerns as well if you will be vaping for the long run.

My Orion came with a poly tank, that lasted a stunning 3 days before it cracked.

Strangely enough though I have devices that have suffered impacts great enough to dent stainless steel tubes, but not one pyrex tank has cracked.

Check out the videos by Phiniac of stress testing their tanks, educate yourself.

well vapinaze themselves dont recommend using pluid as it seems to slightly melt the tank. i to am leary of plastic tanks.

I'm sure at some point we'll see a glassed RRST

doubt it if its molded like the ac9 it is a proprietary well more then a sleeve or tube.

polycarbonate cracks, the new novas also use the polypropylene, which is great as now you dont actually notice the plastic dissolving ;)

Geeeez....buzkill ....cmon you guys...i know i have heard of citrus and cinnamon having a "brittleing" affect on some plastic tanks making them vulnerable to cracking from over tightening top caps and stuff....have also heard rumors of the inside of some tanks clouding from the caustic nature of some juices....but i have never experienced any of this firat hand...

But now we are talking about tanks disolving and getting vaped? ???...and can we assume the manufacturers know this???....how can this be??....why is this not the news of the day? ..that manufacturers know they are poisioning us and continue to make products that are disolving into our juice and end up in our lungs
I am curious why us vapors have let this happen...and so many recomendations from so many vapors to use products that could be harmfull

We are talking
All the vision clearo line
all the kangar line the smoketech line...ect ect ....

Maybe weve known this and ignored it untill we could pull out at just the right time in a little praise thred on the RSST....God forbid it get thumbs up from some people because the tank material

If its a known fact that ejuice dissolves the most common and popular clearo's in the whole vape world...i should not have to look for that info on the forums...it should be front page #1....

lol really?
chinese products from drywall to baby formula sicken and kill every day you think they care about the vapors?
and if you look most of the high end makers use glass and or tell you not to use certain juices with plastic..

Not bad.a little lacking in flavor but I'm still on the first tank.topcap gets warm quick due to thickness(or should I say thinness)
I still have to polish it but not bad at all for 26 bucks.there are drip tips more expensive than these

Definately a good bang for the buck. I have to use a non metal drip tip when I chain on a .6ohm coil, but hey im not complaining. Downed two tanks in the last few hours and it was satisfying.

Ok i believe that the Chinese manufacturers probably dont care about us....but Other vapors should care...and we dont have to buy these products..and they will be stuck with ten million clearos that no body wants..
But at least weve moved forward from..."will break for sure"...to "certain juices"

If this dissolving thing is a fact...we owe it to ourselves to bring a hyper awareness to it...and no longer recomend to our new vapors anything but glass...if we dont we are hypocrites and no better than the tobacco companies.

I personally think its all hype....but i could be wrong...glass is nice..

A glass tank for the Rsst .. could be done easily in 2 pieces with a silicone washer

The fact that certain juices crack or dissolve plastic tanks and parts isn't something new. It's been an issue for longer than I've been vaping. Most experienced DIY juice makers are aware of it. There are lists of flavors that are known to crack plastic tanks. Early versions of clearomizers, like CE2s, were notorious for cracking, which lead to using different plastics. I recall when we used to cut up 3ml syringe tubes, to make replacement CE2 tubes, when the original one cracked. There are commercial juices being made today that are known tank crackers. Pluid is one. Cinnamon, as well as some citrus types are also culprits.
Personally, my feeling is, if something is a known tank cracker, I'm not going to solve the problem by switching to glass. I'm not going to vape it at all.

I got my RSST a few days ago and it's pretty sweet. I had a lot of trouble getting coils to work in my AGA-T+, popping coils left and right, shorts for days. Maybe I was doing something horribly wrong but it didn't seem like it.

My second build on my RSST was an unoxidized SS mesh wick, or pulse method, because I had a wild hair up my .... Worked like a charm. I'm not exactly new to rebuildable atomizers but I am sort of new (started maybe a month ago) to genesis tanks. The trouble I had with the aga was very discouraging and I almost gave up on genesis rbas all together, but I held out for the RSST and hoped that the insulated wick hole would give me new light, and it did.

As of this moment, I feel like the RSST will be my main genesis for a long time. I'd like to have, say, the Foggatti, because I like how it looks over the RSST, but I seriously can't justify, *at all*, not only spending 5-6 times more money, but also waiting ages upon ages for it to be restocked, for a sort of better atomizer.

Not saying the "high end" rebuildables are crap. Just not worth the time and money imo. Maybe if I had a lot of money.

It's interesting to me that people worry about the plastic leaching into their caustic juice, but are cool with inhaling the caustic juice vapor if it comes from a glass tank. One of the most popular juices also seems to be the most caustic. Hardcore.

Personally, my feeling is, if something is a known tank cracker, I'm not going to solve the problem by switching to glass. I'm not going to vape it at all.

Indeed.

More of rant than a reply.. but

I'm getting my RSST in a few days, can't wait to try it based on all the reviews here and on youtube. I can't believe someone has time to come to a review thread and trash the product. You could do a vid, or start your own thread. It's such a waste of time.

No people with a Vamo aren't the new provari snobs. I have a Vamo, and soon after I got one, my buddy got one as well. People who own the Vamo just happen to be smart. If there's some snobbery that comes with being intelligent, I don't know. :rickroll:

What I do know, is that the Provari is like a 1990 Ferarri whatever. Yes, you get much kudos because it is a beautiful well made Ferarri. However, it's 2013 and my extremely well made Vamo can do the same or more than any other device that exists or has existed on the market. The Vamo gives you all of this awesomeness CHEAPER than anything else. It's a nobrainer. Well it is if you're smart.

Anyway, does anyone know if the 400SS mesh is better than 500ss or vice versa. I'm curious about this one.
