wha

you got to explain that one, this is news to me.
I'm fairly familiar with the way a mesh weave is constructed, but long grain...

If you look closely at your mesh, before you roll it, you'll see that it has a grain. When you are rolling the wick, you always want the grain to be longitudinal. It's important to be aware of the grain in the mesh when laying out your cuts.

It's there...look close. That's the way I roll mine. Don't know how much it helps but it can't hurt

I struggled with wicking until I was told to do this. I no longer use mesh much, but I had some very successful wicking after changing the way I rolled wicks.

i will look into the mesh grain thing when i have some free time, and see if it helps.

I think the brown nosing of the china knock offs come from both sides....
The ones that buy the AC9 are proud of the quality machining, yet get shunned for elitism and paying the high cost.
The ones that buy the RSST are happy with the low price point, but get get shunned for having low quality items.
If BOTH sides would just keep their mouths shut, we wouldn't have the petty playground attitude we have plaguing these forums.

I have an AC9. I'm still looking for an RSST, to add to my collection. I haven't seen them in stock anywhere. I have several RBAs, some high end, some not.

Same here...
attys/genes/mods, my wallet has funded a descent variety of high quality mods, easy to attain items, and unicorn items.
i still want a HH.357 haven't touched one of those yet....

My point is, we should be discussing similarities, and exchanging ideas on how to work with what we have.

Instead all i see are raised noses and bashing on products; most of which, people haven't even used....
its pathetic.

I don't see the attitudes in the RBA forums as much as the APV forums. I cant find an RSST in stock either, but I just ordered a pair of AGA-T2's, I also have a DUD, as well as a DID, a ZAP, and an AC9. The DUD vapes every bit as well as the others, but it isn't as nicely made and I wouldn't expect it to be. I'm looking forward to receiving the AGAs because I have heard so many good things about them.

I would like an HH.357 also, but cant bring myself to spend that much for a disposable atty.

same for me, i have a real ac9 but im still gonna pick one of these up. I think the metal wick isolator is a great innovation. Between that and the ac9 style tank, the wick is completely isolated from the body of the atomizer giving current only one way to go, through the wire.

True for some folks; especially the guy making the AC9.
I wonder if he didn't sell out because the RSST seems to have the same 510 connection thread machining issues.

One of my AGA-T2s I have had running 18/7 for 2 months now minus a week in the shop and I have had no problems with it ... it's working as well as I had expected it. Very nice atty, very happy with them all, look reasonably decent too, closely matching most flattop 22mm SS PVs as well.

sooo the AC9 & RSST have long 510 connectors.... nothing a metal file cant fix...

I didn't find the threads to be long. I found them to be cut too shallow. I resolved the issue with my AC9 by purchasing a die, and re cutting the threads.
I hadn't heard of anyone having a similar problem with the RSST.

good to know. nothing worse than messing up the 510 connection on a mod....

Better that they were too shallow than too deep. At least it was fixable, by chasing the threads and cutting them deeper. The maker of the AC9 apparently had offered some other folks who had emailed him that he would replace the bottom piece, if they sent the defective one back first. Instead of doing that, I decided to take a chance, purchase a die, and fix it myself. Fortunately, it worked out. Plus, I have a die, in case I ever drop an RBA, and mess up the threads.
