Dogga94, Are you using the post less deck or the velocity deck. Post less is a little more difficult to build on for a starter so you should be using the velocity deck. The screws have to make a solid connection to the wire, if they don't you get hot legs. If you insist on using the postless deck the wire has to go into the slots until they stop, hitting the bottom of the deck and the coil has to be off the deck.
