it's physics, but also wick placement. When they're placed correctly, they prevent leaking. I can fill with no AFC ring at all and not leak a drop
Yes if you cram it full of cotton, but I tend to dislike dry hits.

I own a number of rta and RBAs, don't have issues leaking , even the Crown. So I do believe I have a clue on wicking. I'm certainly not alone with the leaking on the Bellus. Granted it's only an issue when filling but it's still an issue.

actually, I dont cram my channels full of wicks on my bellus and dont have leaking when I occassionally top fill. However, me being a tinkerer and paranoid fart, I take my deck out to inspect the c oils anyways each fill and just bottom fill mine =P

Like the goblin and the mini, there is a fine balance in the wickin ;)

Well bottom fill that explains no leaking with you.

to quote myself, I do occassionally top fill.

Just not very often. again, me being a paranoid individual, I like seeing my coils (maybe thats why I like my aromamizer
If you stuck with top fill you'd know what the rest of us have been saying

I've had builds where it leaks, for sure... But, when wicked correctly, there is no leaking. It's really too bad UD doesn't have their own explanation of where to place the wicks.

Top fill, open airflow, no leaking. Totally possible, keep trying. I posted a video proving this, so not sure why you insist it's impossible to top fill without leaking

I have had mine for a month. 2.5 Id or bigger cotton wicks just to the notch or half way down no leaks no dry hits. tried 2 ID and then it leaks not enough cotton to fill the juice channels. you can lay these on there side upside down they do not leak even left in my car at 20 degrees and got it warmed it inside and worked perfect

I have most of these tanks and have changed stances many times on what I like best - based on new selections and new juices
I am a flavor chaser first and foremost

Crius - for me best machining - easiest to top fill - easiest to remove tank leaving juice in tact to rewick/recoil . Rarely Leaks
Good airflow, wide open is fine - but the deck is smallish - 3MM are hard to manipulate
Flavor for me is a B-B+. Heavy VG can suffer - seems to need rewicking often, especially with Johnnies Juice - the custard pro!@

Mutank and Mutation X(improved version)
Machining ok - build deck solid - no issues with 3 MM Claptons
I like how I can stuff the cotton all the way down in the juice channels
As long as you use lots of cotton - leaking is minimal - Very good airflow and flavor is excellent with heavy VG Easy Top fill -and the Mutank improves on this. Carnival by Josh Five fold Johnson is really great and the strawberry comes out

Geek Vape Griffin
My current Favorite
Machining ok - build deck solid - no issues with 3 MM Claptons
Best flavor for me - very good airflow - easy to build.
Got to get to know the minimalist wicking to get the best balance of wet saturated hits. Johnnys Juice really works well in these tanks (if you Don't now Johnny's juice - look him up on facebook - best Custard varieties ever!)

Aromamizer
Have both with the new Velocity deck - but no matter what coiling I tried I could never get the flavor that the above give me.
Nice supper open Draw.

Billow V2

I have been a Billow fan since V1 and still find that it might have the best all around flavor, especially If you remove the build deck cap - you get more air and more flavor. Not a wide open airflow - somewhat restricted - but easily a LH wide open and can be almost Tootie pufferish closed. Not the best build deck - so I stay at a basic 9 wrap 26 on 2.5 id - duals come out to .5 - .6. I kind of like having to fill by removing the tank so I can fiddle with my wicks as needed. Using Mitten Juice - Mitten Juice Flavor - Pineapple and Mango - it servers this juice the best for this Profile. The V1 may still be the best for flavor - but with the bottom airflow holed- you always get some minor condensation - especially in warm climates. And I hate bottom fill.

Bellus
I have never tried this tank - but many swear by it

With tanks - a lot has to do with your wicking style and wattage preference.
Also VG ratios and even flavor profile
I don't need 100 watt+ tank - I use my drippers on my Series mods for that.

25-50 suits me fine for rich dense warm flavorful vaping

Its a constant traveling road of testing - but that is what makes this so much fun
One doesn't have to buy 5 tanks at once. Most are 30-40 and can be managed from a cost investment. When you get the one that seems to be the perfect vape - another one is just around the corner !

Remember the original KFUN and Russian - great devices but at a premium

Loving the Hannya RTA by Blitz at the moment. It has a postless build deck on it. I haven't seen much hype about this tank yet but it murders every other tank I own. The only complaints I have about it is the small 2.8ml juice capacity and and the fact that you can not use any drip tips on it other than the one that comes with it. But the flavor and vapor production is the closest thing to a dripper I've had from a tank.

PS: This tank got even better for me when I broke it down and started looking at the parts of it. I noticed the glass tank section was exactly the same size as the stainless steel parts of a Kayfun Lite + and the Orchid v4. If you ever crack or break the glass tank section of the Hannya and you have an old Kayfun or Orchid v4 laying around you can always steal the parts to use on the Hannya! To be honest it looks quite sexy with the stainless steel tank section.

I used tanks for YEARS, then eventually moved on to RTAs, but I was never totally satisfied with the flavor. About 6 months ago, I started building on RDAs and using 100% VG juice. It's changed my life. I started with the ElDiablo Baal and am now using the Twisted Messes, which I love. Every draw is so juicy and delicious that I wonder how I got by using my STM and Lemo Drop. However...

I miss my tanks. They're convenient, harder to "overfill" and leak everywhere, keeping them upright is not necessary, and the top cap can't just fall off in my pocket and wick my underwear full of juice. The problem is (or was) that tanks have (had) horrendous airflow, max VG juice won't wick, and the flavor profile is non-existent compared to RDAs.

This is what I want:
- Tank
- Top fill
- Easy to fill (no screws or anything)
- Quality deck, easy builds, hex screws highly preferred (definitely don't want phillips)
- Good airflow & easily adjustable
- Great flavor
- Two post preferred (two post holes per post would be awesome)
- No leaks
- A good size tank is a "nice to have"

In case it matters, I'll be using 26ga and 28ga kanthal standard macro coils, 28ga for dual coil and 26ga for single coil. I build both to be about 1.2ohm and hit them from 30-35 watts.

Six months of tech has to have brought something good to the table, right? I know a lot of stuff has been released, but is there any RTA out there that can mark all my checkboxes? Please! :)
the supreme rta from steam crave fits most of those requirements if not all, its almost out, wait for it =)
