has anyone bought this item?
RTS Vapes Secret Ingredient Sampler

it claims that theyre secret additives that will 'give your juice the extra spunk its been missing'.

it also says they 'can be used as additives to e-juice recipes, or by themself entirely'.

so without actually buying it to find out whats in it, im wondering if anyone cares to venture a guess..

i did call and I spoke with a rep. she wasn't able to tell me what the concentrates were, as expected, due to the Secret nature of the product, but i did glean some insight. i asked "if theyre concentrates, why does it say I can vape them straight?" she said if you want to vape straight sweetener, you can. but it might not be the best vape (im paraphrasing).

so it looks like EM is one of the ten.

maybe TMP is another
PGA perhaps?
maybe Tart n Sour is another
are people still using vinegar / lemon juice in DIY? its been a while since ive used any additives (or even DIY anything for that matter)

heres the full description:
The RTS Vapes DIY Secret Ingredient Sampler offers customers the ability to sample select concentrated flavor additives. The sample pack contains ten (10) different 10 ml concentrated flavorings that can be used as additives to e-juice recipes, or by themself entirely. Using these secret ingredient additives will give your juice the extra spunk its been missing.

Sampler includes the following items:

  • 10 x 10 ml Concentrated Flavorings
  • 10 x 3 ml Graduated Pipettes
  • 2 x 10 ml LDPE Plastic Dropper Bottles

Soooooo, what do you all think?

Likely same as what I describe in my blog "sweeteners and additives". Being there so secretive about it I think it's nothing more then a ploy for more sales.

thanks Danny! i always appreciate your advice.
to my chagrin, i gave up on DIY a while back. well, i should say i took a break because i will never fully give up. i am determined to make my mixes as good as the vendor juice i buy. i refuse to believe *they* can mix a great juice and i *cant*. as long as i get the right ingredients and correct percentages, i *will* get it right. i mean, its just measuring, shaking and steeping. theres no reason why i cant accomplish some great mixes with enough research and patience.

Exactly. Early on, I was lucky enough to find some tobaccos and ry4 type mixes that I really liked and they kept me going as I worked on custard and fruit type mixes. Then when I tried some Inawera, SC (super concentrates from China), and Hangsen tobacco flavors and they were game changers for me. These days I'm like a kid in a candy store with my tobacco mixes.

You have the right attitude and this forum is a wealth of info so here's wishing the best of luck to you. Welcome back to diy.

thanks JD. i appreciate your encouragement. i think it was you who posted a link to a reddit thread with some clone recipes. i plan to give a couple of those a whirl and see what shakes out. ive had luck with a couple of One On One flavorings in the past. but they changed their flavorings (maybe a diketone thing) so i need to try something new. ive got inawera on my list ..thanks to many members here, but most recently Danny i believe... as well as killer flavoring. i had luck with killer when i was a PG heavy vaper but migrated away after i began to favor vg. now that they have vg flavors, i really gotta get back in there.

The more you practice the better your juice will be. You get to a point of fustration and the trick is to work through it and never give up. You will then find yourself continuing on to a point where you start to prefer your own juice over a vendors juice. Then and only then will you know you truly arrived.

It takes a long time to arrive there so keep at it...
