I kinda gave up on mine, but maybe I'll give a dual coil setup a try. I don't have much of the ce2 style wick left, but I have lots of the thicker silica stuff, but I feel like its too thick and when I push it down into the well, it like takes up the whole space. Have you tried both kinds? And which do you like better?

Only tried silica and when the coils are done right I get 100% pure juice flavor and nothing else. No idea what's going wrong on your setup. I cut my wicks short to increase wicking and have more space and I always leave some strands up top.

Yea I guess my setup is f'ed lol. I saw those smok teck SRT or HRT or whatever tanks that looks pretty cool, looks like it would be easy to put some SS mesh into it. I still need to get a hold of some mesh. Maybe I'll put a wanted ad up to see if someone out there has a whole bunch of it that will sell me enough to make a few wicks to try it out.

Yea, I appreciate you've been answering my questions all through, thanks!
I may not have my coil quite tight enough? When I fire it without the cap on, I do see the coil start to glow after a few seconds...

It's np, love to help when I can. That sounds to me like the spot you see that is glowing is either as you said too loose or it's shorting out on the SS mesh. It can look like that when shorting because all the heat is going to that one coil and your PV will still fire and produce vapor but it won't taste good at all. I would get a pin and move around your coils as much as possible and keep checking your ohms for changes. If the ohms are changing either up or down then your having shorts on the SS mesh. With SS mesh you do want the coils alot tighter than you would with just silica wick.

SS mesh is alot more fiddly than other wicks but once you get it right it's one of the best vapes you can get. Just remember to keep a check on your ohms while vaping if it's changing at all then it's shorting on the mesh.

I am using same setup Vmax + phoenix most of the time, but I was wondering if you have some information when the XL phoenix is going to hit the market and where I can buy some.

Thanks :) the XL should be hitting Eshots, Vapor..... and Liberty Flights by the end of the month....so real soon.

I adjusted my ss mesh setup, no more hot spots. I'm still not impressed by the flavor..... how does it go- air hole close to coil=more air, more vapor/flavor and air hole further from coil= more TH?
Maybe rebuildables aren't for me, I thought I'd like it cuz I love building and making things myself, but I'm not getting the vape I expected. I might get one of the xl phoenix though, if I remember right you said no more plastic insulators and a larger overall piece. I was also looking the the rainbow I think its called, from stormys vapor cellar.
