What am I missing? JantyUSA sells this for $24.95.

Those are the Chinese Version of the Ruyan Vegas Classic, which are not authorized for sale in the United States. That's why you will not see any of these vendors carrying the Ruyan America Vegas Freestyle or and of the Ruyan America Jazz Products. If you want more information about this I would rather keep it off line. Thanks. Happy New Year T-Bob.

After a few PMs I decided to post the information publicly.

Ruyan America owns the exclusive rights to sell Ruyan Products in the USA, so selling a Chinese Version of the product is not allowed. Only authorized US distributors can sell Ruyan products in the US. The products JantyUSA is selling is still a Ruyan product, but can not be sold in the US, they are not labeled properly for sale in the US.

I think i need to get a v8 to review. the whole "ultrasonic" claim is bold indeed.

Two things that make the Ruyan v8 different are that the atomizer is ultrasonic and the composition of the liquid produces little or no vapor on the exhale. Makes for discreet use, however I understand that some may not like that. With the ultrasonic atomizer I have two and neither has broke, one I dissected to show the piezo electric ceramic element. Battery life is consistent with others on the market. It is an overall solid unit. I would much rather an independent review since I am a supplier of Ruyan products.

Hmmmm. It's very much for sale on JantyUSA site.

FYI: Your opening screen messes up in both IE and Firefox. Text is being overlaid and becomes unreadable. Thanks for the reply.

I think I fixed that, tanks for the heads up . It is for sale on their site, I can not stop them, I am just a reseller. But you can see the difference in the lablels.

Oops, sorry, yes the pic is there, thanks very much. I'd forgotten about that.

Apologies for suggesting you weren't telling the truth in that thread, there's so much misinformation around I get a bit too critical at times.

It is indeed engineered differently to the atomisers we are used to. I'd like to see it compared by one of our reviewers for durability and performance with something like a Janty atomiser.

One of the problems I see with Ruyan hardware is that the buyer is tied to buying Ruyan cartridges to keep to the warranty terms. That might suit someone who was looking for the reassurance of eliquid formula safety testing because of Dr Laugesen's research but it wouldn't suit me.

I'll be watching out for information on the Jazz when you get some. Disposables will probably command a large portion of the market when they become established.

Kate,

I appreciate the comments, I will keep you posted on the Jazz, I would like to think that all companies pride themselves on their reputation, we both know that is not always the case, but that is my goal. I also like how many new member get to learn the truths in this forum. I know I have learned a bit myself.

Kind Regards,

With all the fuss now and fear of bans, it might turn out that only a true disposable like the Ruyan Jazz has any chance of approval. The device must be tamperproof. No taking anything apart. Everything must be sealed as a single unit and the e-cig thrown away when dry and/or dead. That kind of device might -- might -- have a chance at approval since it couldn't kill children or pets.

I'm looking forward to some day trying the Jazz, but it needs to be cheaper still. If the specs are correct, it's equal to 4 or 5 packs of cigs, for $20 to $25. That's $5 a pack. Now, someone can toss around New York City prices if they want, but packs of cigarettes are about $3 where I live. Using a Jazz would be a significant increased expense for me.

Tamperproof huh, I had never thought of it that way, but that makes sense...I hear you on the NY prices its about $10 in NY and $7 in NJ. Unfortunally I do not set the price. :(

BTW, Kate, I recieved my Jazz demo unit today. I was thinking about making a video but I did not want to impose on leaford and ratindahats shine.
