I've been investigating the suppliers online for just under a month now. It seems as if the marketing technique used by suppliers when they first get started is the nicotine mg comparison one.

Example is a real cigarette contains .6mg of nicotine, which equals 12 mg per pack.

A ml of juice contains 24 mg and there are 6-8 drops of liquid in a mini cart so the cart is equal to 1/4 of a ml. This means there is 6mg of nicotine in one cart which is equal to smoking 10 cigarettes.

So if they supply you with a cart that hold an entire ml of juice that is a full 24 mg of nicotine, which is the same as smoking 40 cigarettes.

As suppliers them selves learn not to deceive customers like this with false hopes of a single cart lasting 2 full days as 40 cigarettes might to a pack a day smoker, they then report the amount of mouth fulls.

The mouth full technique is also deceptive. Your mouth, my mouth? 1 second draw, 4 second draw? who is to say... It is less possible to be called deceptive if every one has different techniques.

The true and honest method to employ is to describe the measurment of actual liquid in a cart, and how many 3 second draws the battery can handle before dying.

Until a standard in advertising is reached, new suppliers will be ripped to shreds when they attempt to market in those ways.

I understand everyone's concerns, after I am able to put one to the test I will be able to give the accurate feedback. I understand people's qualms with the measurements and number of puffs, what I can currently say is that one Ruyan V8 cartridge last me one day and the Ruyan Vegas lasts me five to seven days. I am a pack a day smoker. I agree with the need for standardization of the measurements.

Maybe it should be measured in days? I am not a manufacturer, but if anyone had a good suggestion on measurement I would be up for it. I agree that the number of puffs, can be misleading. I was mislead before I was a supplier.

Does anyone here own an e-pipe, how many days does one of those cartridges last? I pay 7 dollars per pack US and in NY they are reaching 10 a pack.

I appreciate the comments.

check out this video from 1954 at around 4.40min
Internet Archive: Details: Tobacco and the Human Body

about 25% of the nicotine in a cigarette is destroyed chemically by fire
about 30% passes out into the atmosphere as the tobacco reaches a median temp.
about 45% heads towards the mouth as you drag but most of that ends up deposited on the tobacco itself leaving only around 15% to enter the body.

In that case the e-cig is much worse for me than analogues.
I must be inhaling at least 85% more nicotine per day than i was which has got to be very bad for my Blood Pressure.
Thanks for pointing that out.

sorry for hijacking this thread.

By the end of the day half of the chinese factories copy the design just like they did with just about every other Ruyan product. So take a good look at it because there will alot similar ones soon.
It makes no sense to make 20 buck device that does not last at least couple cigarette packs worth. The other disposable cigarette(m401) had 5 refills IIRC. Exciting to see whether they managed to avoid refills...

I agree that the only logical market for these would be places where your nicotine urge outweighs your logic. Aside from the price , how about the wastefulness. Can you imagine if you smoked these instead of cigarettes the pile of spent batteries you'd have at the end of a month?
I dont think Ruyan even wants to sell these to 20 a pack smokers as sole e-cig. Think about why would people even want to buy e-cigs these small. To smoke in public discreetly.

In the 3 weeks I've owned my penstyle, I still have no idea how long a cart lasts....because I keep topping it off when it seems a little dry.

And as cumbersome as this may be at times, I am really glad that I have that option, and to use the juice of my choice....both for the flavor I want and the nic content I want.

I don't own a pipe (yet) but I understand you can top them off too. I have no idea how long those last but probably someone else has that answer.

For me, carts are secondary to the juice so I would have to think long and hard about something I could not regulate the nic and flavor with....but of course, that's just me :p

It sits on my chest hanging from my teeth.
I only put it down when I over dose, soda clears that up though.

The pipe is not a ecig. it is a totally different flavor, cold vapor and a smooth but heavy throat hit. The drip method does not change the experience like it does on a 901. The flavor on a pipe for the same liquid on a 901 is milder.

They are only $80 now, so if you want to give a try go for it. It is good for sitting on the couch and watching TV. I don't take it out often, unless its a long drive.

Its vapor volume is 4 times that of a 901, it is thick white lingering vapor. At night laying in bed watching TV It hovers in front of the screen for a few min.
Even with the larger vapor volume though the hit is smoother if you like it that way. I like a hot heavy harsh hit, like a 901.

Soda? I'll have to remember that. haha

I am still waiting for the black pipe from litecig. Is that where you were talking about?

I'm still debating but trying to gather as much info as possible before I make a final decision. Thanks for your input!

Kate,

As soon as I have that information, I can let you know. So far I have only seen prototypes over the last 2 months, no documentation has been available to me yet. I'll keep you posted. Once again I appreciate the feedback.

Kind Regards,

Dan, we are not well informed when it comes to disposables. If you could tell us how much nicotine (mg) in total is in a Jazz that would be handy.

Another measurement that would be useful is how many five (or four or three) second puffs can be obtained before performance declines.

Thanks Dan, that would be useful.

Disposables have a lot of potential for people wanting to swap from smoking because they don't require maintenance. If the price is right and you tell the truth to your customers about what to expect I'm sure you'll get many recommendations and repeat customers.

Here on the forum we are enthusiasts mostly and see esmoking as a hobby so you might not find us as keen, don't let that put you off. Disposables will bring esmoking to the masses I think.
