I originally went with the satin finish. It's very nice but a little plain to my liking so decided to give it a 2-tone look. I sanded the grooved section with 450 grit sandpaper and the non-grooved section with 2000 grit sandpaper. Then polished it with some Nevr-Dull. Surprisingly it came out exactly how I wanted it. Only downside is it's a fingerprint magnet now!

I believe he's stated that it's shiny/high polish by default...

Yep..David said somewhere in one of the threads that they come in from CNC shop and he polishes them up to 400 grit (which is satin) and then to 800 grit (which is shiny) so..should be shiny by default..if you want it satin finish it's less work to be done on it so I'm sure he wouldnt have a problem with that..also since it's just the ammount of time he has to spend with it at the polisher that varies..you should be able to change as long as yours isn't done or being worked on with little to no headache I'd imagine...

On a totally personal note/ observation....I went with the satin finish...I'm suspecting it'll be a closer match to the finish of the stainless steel t-tips...and well since when the 4 in 1 adapter comes out for the S6 david said that'll be stainless too..I'm waiting to see how 2 tone an aluminum body with stainless adapter is before making it "shiny"
...Though I must admit that my original plan was to annodize my S6 when it came...because of that stainless 4 in 1 I'm thinking of holding off on that..
