Based on my experience and from what I've read here from many other posters, after switching to
vaping, we vape more often than we smoked. The most frustrating thing for me after I bought a cheap (but very overpriced) starter kit was that the battery needed to be recharged every two hours. After a few days, it lasted about 1½ hours. After a few more days, it lasted one hour. By the middle of the 2nd week, it lasted 45 minutes, and then 30 minutes. And about 10 minutes or so before the battery died, there wasn't enough power left in the battery to get throat hits.
I bought two eGos and didn't care that the eGo is a little bigger around than a regular cigarette. By that time, I just wanted a battery that would last much longer. My 1000mAh eGos last at least 12 hours before needing to be recharged. If I don't vape constantly (like 3 or 4 vapes per minute), it will last longer than 12 hours. I've been satisfied ever since receiving the two eGos.
Since then, I've bought 3 different kinds of USB passthroughs. The best passthrough, in my opinion, is the KR808D-1. I plug the cable into an AC to USB wall adapter bought from madvapes.com. It works every time, compared to when I plugged it into my computer USB port, when it would not work every time (because there isn't enough power in the USB port to power the battery).
I (and lots of other newbies) wasted a lot of money trying to find a battery that would work and last for a long time. Forget about the L88b, SS #7 micro, revolver elite, E8, M403. Go with an eGo or possibly the Joye 510 or KR808D-1. Just make sure you buy two
batteries that will last 4 to 6 hours at a minimum, or you'll be recharging batteries all day and night long -- and you'll regret that you thought you HAD to have a cigarette-sized battery. The size won't matter to you after you change and recharge batteries every 30 to 60 minutes.
