I agree Deback - to some degree. However, as long as a newb orders a GOOD product day ONE, the rest is not really relevant. Whether a CE2 is better than a BOGE 510 is NOT relevant day one, for example. They are a pain in the .... to fill. Some will choose those down the road, no question. Some will not. Personally, I won't. Everyone that vapes will eventually order all kinds of stuff until they find exactly what they prefer. However, day one they NEED something that works, works well, and simple and easy to use.

Later, some will prefer to fiddle around, most others want simplicity. I think we forget that on this forum far too often. Why? Because most people on here have taken on vaping as a hobby and why they are on this a lot. Most users however, simply want something to puff on.

I definitely agree with all of the above. I've never recommended a CE2 to anyone and never will. You and I have been recommending the same items - two eGo batteries and 510 Boge cartomizers -- and get rid of the atties and carts immediately!

It's in my nature to include details, though, probably because I have to answer thousands of questions from clients annually. So, just ignore me when I do that, if it bothers you. I'm here for the same reason as you are - to help others get to where they want to be, to save them money and not get ripped off by the companies charging exorbitant prices for cheap-quality products that quit working after a few days or a couple of weeks, and to buy the products NOW that they'll end up buying in the near future. I want them to avoid buying the cheap-quality stuff that they'll quit using after a week, which means they'll save money by not buying the crap products until they find what they shoulda bought.

You can call me Deb, if you wanna.

The most important thing, imho, is finding an ecig that will keep you satisfied for at least a month. In that month - if you don't purchase tobacco cigs - you will have saved enough money to upgrade, downgrade, switch or buy extra parts, new flavors - whatever.

You'll also know what works for you, what's important to you and have enough saved to experiment with different flavors.

Personally - I would recommend starting with a 510 and staying away from pre-filled cartridges (they often taste like gasoline...). Ejuice is inexpensive and lets you try different flavors and find what works.

Vaping is very individual. What one person likes - the next doesn't.

If you don't start somewhere though - you'll likely never start.

Good luck and hope your first vape is a great vape.

I'm not surprised that you are still looking. What you want does not exist.

*If you buy a super-mini I PROMISE you will be disappointed (unless you smoke less than half a pack a day). I promise it.

*If you buy a super-mini you will want to replace it immediately. (unless you smoke less than half a pack a day)

*The negative reviews of super-mini's are still valid, nothing has changed there. The technology hasn't advanced in that way yet.

*If you want to satisfy your hand, get a super-mini. If you want to hold it and pretend it's a cigarette, get a super-mini. If you want it to work to make you switch to vaping, don't get a super-mini (unless you smoke less than 10 cigarettes a day)

(here's where you respond to me and say that you really feel like having it the same size and appearance as a cigarette will help to trick your brain into thinking you are smoking and you really think that will help it to work for you)

my response:
*the size and shape won't make it work to keep you from smoking, trust me. The function of the e-cig is what's going to make it work.

If you still don't believe me then order this one (discount code "ecigforum"): RN4081 Super Mini e-Cigarette Starter Kit - $28.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

wow... I disagree completely with every single comment you made in this post. I was a 1-2 pack a day smoker and I love the Joye 510. For the record a TON of technology has changed in two years. Maybe you need to update yourself because your offering inaccurate and frankly poor advise to a noob. Cartomizers for the 510 offer a ton of customizable options and should be considered in the "technology" of a "super mini". Lastly, the size and shape made A HUGE difference for both my GF and I. Not everyone is you! People have different preferences. If someone is telling you what they want, and you intend on helping them, help them get what they want, not what YOU want.

But why? I am not sure how you can just make a blanket statement like this. With a good PCC battery life is not really an issue. No matter how much I chain vape, a battery charges faster in the PCC than it takes to burn through your current one. The biggest issue I can think of is cart size. Refilling a cart takes me literally like 10 sec. Certainly less time than it took to repack a new pack of smokes or find where the hell my lighter ran off to.

Just because bigger batteries are more popular, and yes many posters that start off with smaller batteries move on to bigger batteries... it still does not mean you can make a conclusive statement that smaller batteries are " not effective". I did smoke a pack a day. I do vape all day long. My husband has many other ecig models lying around that I could use anytime... I still love my supermini.

ME TOO! Both my GF and I are the exact same as you on this. PCC takes care of any battery life issue.

I had a lot of trouble picking out my first setup too, so I'll copy the guy the helped me out best I think.

Go to Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. and get the $35 starter kit. This might not be the absolute best kit for you, but I promise it is good enough to satisfy.

Go to USA Made Vapor Renu and pick out a flavor you like, start simple. A flavor may sound cool, but cool does not equal good. I recommend getting double flavor 80/20 pg to vg ratio, and 24 mg of nic. You may decide to move up or down, but 24 is a good place to start because you will likely on move it up or down one time if at all.

The reason I say it like this is because the more choices you have, the less likely you are to make a decision. Ever notice at the convenience store there are like 10 times as many coke products as pepsi? Coke doesn't actually expect you to choose the other ones that often, they just want you to give up making a choice and stick with what you are used to (which for the majority is coke).

I agree completely with this. Well said!

I don't have a Vapor4Life but they do have a larger model that looks like a cigarette and is a little longer for that extra battery life...about the size of the 120 Virginia Slim I think...and people do like them...it is the KR808. You may want to look there if you are after an analog look. I am thinking of trying one for work. They have a 20% off coupon going on for October...rocktober.

I got the kr808d-1 Ace from pure smoker and am very happy with it. I used to smoke virginia slim 120's so it feels natural in my hand. My BF smoked king size cigarettes so we got him the shorty Ace kr808d-1. Mine is pink his is black. Starter units from puresmoker.com were only 30 bucks. Both kits come with 2 batteries each. We are both very happy. I can drive my car and look like I'm smoking a cigarette instead of some freaky huge thing that looks like I'm doing drugs. Don't need to draw any additional attention to my driving for the police. Just sayin.

They are good, but they are over priced IMHO. You can get the same thing from myvaporstore.com for 30 dollars plus shipping. I have ordered from them 4 times and always receive my packages within 2-3 days. I love the kr808D-1 and use everyday. It got me off cigs from day one.

I have had an extremely poor experience with vapor4life. They sent me the wrong product, gave me incorrect information, late email replies, and its now been a month and they still have not reimbursed me for sending me a product i didnt order. Actually 2 of them. They've had over $100 held up in my bank for a month. I will never place another order from this company regardless of what they carry. Not to mention everything they have you can get from other vendors.

Of the two I have used, the E-Lite E60, and the Titan 510, the 510 gets my vote all the way.

On the contrary, the E60, in my opinion, is only good as a backup. The carts don't like being refilled and it's nearly impossible to drip due to the atty design. That and the vape is hugely inconsistent in both amount and flavour. Oh, and the thing leaks like a ....., mouthfulls of juice are never fun.

My first (which was just two weeks ago) was the Joye 510 which I love, it's very discrete but vapes very well. It's one of the most recommended specially for starters who want a PV that's a similar size and shape to a standard analog. There are a few things that are starting to bother me about the mini style 510's, for one once you start vapeing regularly the batteries last about 2 hours. Also without there being enough juice in the atomizer and enough battery left you start to get sub par vapes, because of this I have started dripping which helps allot. Just ordered some RIVA 510 kits today, I'm looking forward to thicker vapes and 4x the battery life compared to the mini 510's. With liberty-flights 20% discount the RIVA kits are at $29.99 which is unbeatable, if you haven't ordered one yet I say get a RIVA from them before the end of the month, it's basically an eGo so a little fatter than a mini but still not too big to become uncomfortable to hold.

That's cool, I hear ya. My only point is the ONLY mistake a newb can really make is ordering overpriced crap or something that is too much of a pain to use. Nothing else matters much in the long run.

It seems like most of us have made that mistake -- buying overpriced crap when starting out -- only to discover that recharging batteries every 1/2 hour to two hours is a royal PITA -- and then ending up here to find out what we should have bought. It's because most of us have a lack of knowledge of everything involved with PVs at the beginning, and there's a learning curve with finding out what we need to know to be happy with what we eventually end up buying.

Most of us HAVE to go through that learning experience until we end up buying the products that work for us, especially when we haven't had a chance to try out the products first (from a friend, etc), and/or we haven't spent weeks (before buying a starter kit) reading hundreds of threads here to find out what most users recommend.

It's just a shame that there are vendors out there selling the overpriced crap that people end up being unhappy with within a day or two. But I see no way to alert ALL new users to this fact, especially those who don't have computers or who never make it to this forum to become educated. Has to make you wonder how many people in the world try those exorbitantly-priced starter kits and end up giving up quickly when their cheap batteries die quickly or they don't want to recharge their batteries a dozen times every day.
