it's kinda big, Mark. so is the KR808-D1.

i just came close to buying a LeCig build your own D1 package. it came up to $90 for 3 batts, 3 5pks of cartos, PCC, and the charger. very close to buying. i couldn't pull the trigger.

i spent an hour before that at the S'Moore site comparing M401/402/403/601c/702/801. They all have PCC's available too. Some will hold the cig assembled.

i swear i could pull my hair out if i had any left.

i'm going home again, without placing an order. =(

right on. The kr808 is a lot bigger than the 510 though.

I'm new to vaping also. I first went with a cigarette-sized pv and about a week later went and ordered an ego because the carts and batteries weren't lasting nearly long enough. I had smoked for about 14 years and had fluctuated anywhere from three or four cigarettes a day all the way to a pack or more during that time. I noticed that I vape way more than I smoked and the regular sized unit just wasn't quite enough to satisfy me. My original was the Volcano Deluxe Kit and I turned around and ordered the Inferno with Mega Cartomizers just over a week later. It's nice having the smaller Volcano for taking out to vape without drawing attention but if I had to choose one, it would definitely be the Inferno. I've realized that if I had to do it over again, I would have got a 510 (probably the Magma but other brands would have worked too) instead of the Volcano because it would have been much more practical for my vaping habit than the smaller Volcano. (The size difference between a pv and a cigarette is only really noticable for the first few days. After that, you won't even notice.) There's no doubt I would never get rid of my Inferno though. It hasn't taken long for me to bond with it and for it to secure a very special place in my heart.

Hope this helps you avoid the first purchase mistake I made. Since getting a pv, I haven't touched a regular cigarette. Hang in there, the research you're doing will definitely pay off when you do make your purchase.

This is a handy pic. I wish I could find more like this. Lined up and labeled.
Comparison-2.jpg

not pictured, the M702 / Revolver is 8.6mm x 89mm, so just 3mm longer than the M403 pictured.

the DSE103 IS the same size as the RN4081, but the atomizer is reported different (exposed vs. recessed)

the DSE 084 or 8084 is still the smallest I've been able to find, at 8.0 x 84mm.

the M403 pictured is 8.6x86mm
the M402 is 8.6 x 97mm
the M401 is 8.6 x 108mm

just some reference info for any other noobs that browse through

This is what I bought the other day as a lights-smoker beginner. Of course I wanted something cigarette-looking but not too shabby - not a recommendation since I haven't even received it yet. As a cigarette-size starter I ordered an M4xx 2-battery custom kit from MyPVSHop. The 401 is supposed to have good battery life, small carts. The 402 is shorter and shaves 15-20% off the battery life. The 403 battery shaves off more battery life - I would have tried a 403 as one of my 2 (since I was getting the PCC for charging on the go) but I didn't see manual 403 batteries available. I would have tried a 401 for one of my two batteries but the PCC they had only held 402 and 403 batts. So I got a 402+402 kit. I added to my order a second atty, some carts, some juice and the PCC. Then picked up some cartomizers elsewhere to try, as well as some recommended juices elsewhere.

i am reeeeally close to ordering a PV. BUT i have MORE QUESTIONS:

1. Which models have auto batts that are not sound activated?
2. Does any vendor have pre-filled carts or cartos in clove flavor, that actually taste like a clove cig? (first-hand exp. plz)
3. Which super mini's have cartos available now? Do you have a recommendation/preference?

thanx to all who answer!
