As for button placement on manual batts:

On the 510 at least the atomizer can get VERY hot (sometimes I don't allow enough time between drags to let it cool down). In fact it's gotten hot enough to actually hurt if I touch the atty itself. You don't want the button any closer to the atomizer than it already is. I know it seems like it would be cumbersome where it is, and it is for a bit, but that passes VERY quickly. You would likely find that to be a very minor concern, once you've actually gotten into vaping for a bit.

No experience with autos at all, sorry.

ROSA: i am going to have to follow up with the clove vapers to find out which is the preferred and why, but thank you for this link. it's not easy to duplicate the Djarum Black flavor, particularly because they used to dip the end of the filter in something as well, so the flavor was right on your lip, not just in the tobacco being smoked. not all kreteks have that.

i was mad about the stupid clove ban, but if i can find an e-clove alternative, it will be a blessing in disguise!

thanx for that 2 cents. there's one guy in my office who vapes, he's got a cigar, a 4081 (i think) with manual, and some mod box that he really likes. he also mentioned the thing can get hot. so that makes a lot of sense. thanx!
