I recently learned about e-cigs and was intrigued by them, as I'm waaaay too much of a technophile for my own good.

However, I am (and I'm very proud of this fact) the only member in my immediate family to have never tried smoking, and honestly, I'd like to keep it that way (tobacco smoke irritates my lungs), but I was wondering one thing.

I know this seems like a dumb question, but it it possible (and a good idea even) to get an e-cig and use nicotine free carts/juice just for the flavors? I started wondering this more when I saw that some people use candy flavoring oils in their own juice mixtures.

So, anyways, I'll be lurking. Research is good. Mhmm.

Hi, Mitchi. :)

This is just my personal opinion, but it seems to me, objectively, that it is not a good idea unless you are already a smoker.

We don't really know all the consequences of doing this. When all is said and done, we are meant to breathe clean air, and nothing else.

It's a different story for a smoker who can't get off cigs - anything is better than that, and e-smoking certainly seems like a much safer alternative, for some of us, the only alternative to a likely unpleasant death. But otherwise - heck, there are lots and lots of fun things to do out there that don't involve inhaling alien substances. :)

Pat yourself on the back for not being a smoker and stay safe, my friend. There are things that are worth risking your health for, and things that are not, you know?

Cheers,
Briar.
