I'm having a hard time deciding on new RTAs. I got my 'big' tank Ammit 25mm dual coil (dual clapton but may end up sometimes being dual round or something else depending on this thread), and now am trying to find a smaller tank.
The smaller tank I want to be small in pocket (short height) with my single 18650 3000 mAh MOD, and also to hold decent ml. (no need to recommend in terms of that because I have spent countless hours narrowing down basically EVERYTHING and watching videos to find true caliper and syringe measurements vs the BS that manufacturers or fasttech often lie/misinform about).
I'm okay with the small RTA not giving as much vapor as the larger RTA for my dual/triple MOD. But I would like a decent amount of vapor but don't want to kill battery fast. If I can get about 4-6ml per 3000 mAh, that should be fine though.
Here's the thing,
The few RTAs that I'm left deciding on for the small RTA, some are dual postless decks and some are single-only. I might prefer one that is a dual deck for having short height and good ml capacity but I'm thinking dual coil will kill battery fast. You can put a single in a dual postless and then keep the wicks long to fill the whole juicing channel (or close the juice flow controll a bit), but I'm not too sure about that. Maybe it doesn't even matter and that a single in a dual postless is perfect performance? But suppose it's not, my question is, can I make a dual round wire build and still get the same battery life and vapor as a single fused clapton build?
To me, the more wire/metal you are trying to heat up, the more battery life you need, and I don't even know if that's correct but that's what I'm thinking. But the more wire you add, to me means the ohms raise up and thus need more Watts, however, when you make it dual coil, the ohms suddenly divide in half which is confusing.
I don't really need to know why or how with ohms law explinations etc, but should I just get thin round wire and make dual coil (many wraps aka micro coil or not a lot of wraps?).
Or should I just stick a single fused clapton in a dual postless deck?
I vape a .12 premade TFV8 octa coil at around 60W, but I also vape a .45 dual fused clapton build at around the same. I don't really vape high wattage, and I passthrough vape probably 1/3 the time that I vape, and I use 3000 mAh 18650s, but I just want to make sure I'm not down on battery quickly.
If it matters, I'm using kanthal for now but soon switchnig to TC, probably SS or whatever most people are using now.
Thanks in advance.
