Daniel, Chris,

The Sapphire is a great design and has super potential as a game changer in vaping.

Suggestions for improvements: (Most or all have already been suggested in other threads; just gathering them here to nudge, nudge.)

3. A colored tank cork would make it easier to find when removed. Same-o with the bottle dripper tip thingy.

.

100% agree on this, the damn thing is impossible to find, and bounces when you touch it. someone said I was nitpicking about this. its a real issue and is a royal pain every time I fill these things.

Well I finally killed a Giantomizer (be careful how long you dryburn those things), so I finally had some 'fat' wick to play with. Works great in the Sapphire (no leaks and wicking great). IMO works much better than doubling the thinner wick. Looking forward to trying these in 3Ω.

i've tried doubling the thinner wick as its all I have at the moment, didn't work for me. I couldn't get a decent draw on it. i basically took and folded the thin wick in half and used somethingthe size of the hole to force it through.

That's what I *was* doing, with mixed results. Others have done it and had no problems, but about half of my attempts either flooded or didn't wick fast enough. The fatter wick seems to work fine though. Don't throw your old Sapphires out - pack 'em away until you have some better wick to play with. :)

BadK,
Yup, it looks like multiple experienced vapers are saying it needs better wick material, probably on both the vertical wick and the stuff the on which the coil is wrapped. Gotta keep an eye on the production costs as well though, eh?

If you hear of a problem from 6 users, it no doubt means that 666 users have had the same problem.

What a great design, concept and detail, this Bud is.

(Man, I've got to commend you on how you deal with complaints. Customer Service Rep par excellence!! You are GOOD!)

In all honesty it doesnt matter how many issues there are that i dont know about, what concerns me is what I do HEAR about from you all which is the only thing I can go buy and when comparing other products we and others sell, the complaints are minimal , 6 to 10 complaints to me is as if the problems are almost non existent because we are dealing with a company that is making 100's of thousands every few weeks , so to have a few issues with some of the product is bound to happen but like I said its so minimal that we are extremly pleased with the result compared to other factories we have dealt with.

Now while 6 or so here had issues we have heard form over 250 people and we stopped conting about how the sapphire is the best thing they have tried in 2 years., and when comparing the sapphire to the issues everything else has then i consider them minimal, the wicking material is the same as in many other devices but we are having it looked into, improvements have already been added and thats what we are about, taking feedback and doing what we can to make improvements, this isnt easy nor is it cheap but it gets done because im not happy unless i can improve things.

by the way the 3.1 ohm sapphire is kicking my ... at 5.5 now. lol

i think part of the problem is how people vape. I vape a lot!. like constantly, puff after puff after puff. people who take a drag here and a drag there probably won't have as many problems. I used my saphires today at work, I had to blow them out at least 3 times as they keep getting flooded, I believe maybe its becaue they need to cool between puffs.

I've finally had to ditch the sapphires - I don't know why I'm having such trouble with them, but after about a half carto-full of juice, they just get a horrific burnt taste. I've taken them apart, dry-burned, replaced wick by scalping it from Ce2 XL's... and they just get SO hot on my egos (plain old usb pt ego batts) that I think they're not for me. (The vapor is cool, the atty itself is hot.) It kind of ticks me off that I've ruined perfectly good ce2 xl's to get the same result over and over, not to mention all of the time spent fiddling with them.

So I'm sort of happy for those hundreds of thrilled customers, but this one is disappointed.

Same here. I spent most of last night trying to clean/ replace the wick in my first sapphire. I eventually gave up and filled the second one, only to have the burnt taste right off the bat (even after letting it sit 5 minutes). I might try a different juice, but so far it looks as though I'll stick with CE2s.

One of my new Sapphires wasn't wicking well initially. I took it apart, and found the coil end of the wick was a bit gunked up and blackened. I burned it in a flame to clean it, and it's been working great since (with a few more burnings to keep it clean.)

I've yet to have very good luck replacing the wick with CE2 fat wick. The Sapphire wick seems to consist of multiple straight sections of finer twisted strands, rather than an overall twisted wick like the CE2. I'll have to sacrifice a working CE2 to try further, but I'm holding off while the one I have left is still working.

shanagan, how is this, i will send oyu a sapphire that i used and still use and is at 23 to 25 fills, never modded and works as good as day one, im putting it to side, if this works for you then your original sapphire was bad, if it doesnt work for you then your vaping habbits, juice or your battery could be the cause, does that sound like plan? i cant tell much by guessing but we can see where the issue is and take it from there.

Hey Rob- can't be for sure what is happening on your end, etc. I vape back-to-back in front of my compter a good 12 hours a day. Besides GotVapes I run GotLogos.com, intensive graphics work etc...I use my PV basically as a pacifier at times (meaning I srsly back-to-back vape my sapphire).

It just has, plain and simple, worked. No leaking, incredibly easy fill that draws a smile every time I fill it, no dry spells, burning, etc. I adored my Vortexes but this even beats them.

As Chris pointed out in another post, the condensation is sealed off from your vape in the air chamber, brilliant. The tubing is what should have been used all along in every clearo product, I just can't SEE this stuff cracking ever. I do feel warmth from time to time at the base but of course, the coil is postioned there, but its not scorching.

I actually think you are good to back-toback vape these. As far as any flooding you had we can work with you in emails, etc with your particular problem. I myself and seriously interested in how this is occuring with ya. Did you disassemble them at any time, how do you fill your units, etc...
