There is not a "separate finish" applied to the Satin Silver, it's just brushed/bare stainless steel.

There is no finish on the satin silver model. It's just brushed stainless steel. Extremely durable - more so than the other finishes.
I have mine for 6 months and still looks like new. I went with this one cause I have seen where some of the other finishes can chip or wear off. Doesn't show fingerprints either. Just ordered me another one.
Same here. Satin silver is the one to get if you want your Provari to hold up well for a long time.
I also happen to think it's the best looking of all the finishes.
I suppose the Zen tubes are pretty good in that regard as well.

I like the the satin silver finish the best too. The colors are pretty, but the silver is the one I use the most, since I don't have to worry about it getting banged up.
Just for record, the finish isn't brushed, it's media blasted. It has a soft sheen, rather than being matte like brushed stainless steel. In the beginning of PBusardo's tour of Provape you can see one being sandblasted and the other steps it goes through.

I love my satin finish Provari. I've only had it for over a month though. I have satin and polished silver. No finger prints on either of them. I use it everyday and when I'm at work. I'm not worried if it has character though I bought the satin to be a everyday workhorse.

I do clean them regularly. I also wipe them down when I fill the tanks.

I have 2 of them & I don't find them bad with fingerprints either.
Yep this. If you watch Phils provape video it shows the satin finish if just sandblasting the chrome finish. So its really not a finish per se.
