Been away for a bit, for a good reason. I've been extremely satisfied with my current setup and it's led me to be less involved here, and read much less on the forums. I find myself here when I'm looking for info on a newer, better solution.

Now, I'm using my Wismec DNA200 with a Bachelor tank. I know this is probably not the newest anymore, but it's a damn good setup for a long lasting, easy building vape. Battery life is 3 days for me, and the tank will last 2-3 rewicks on a coil, and I rewick once a week at most.

I've been DIYing my own juice, unflavored 8mg 60/40 VG/PG and have not tired of the lack of "flavor". It's my all day vape, and I've tried a few flavors here an there, but all seem too sweet and cloying, not for me.

Anyone else here with a similar preferred setup and juice that gets the shinyitis cure when they hit the nail on the head with a juice/equipment setup?

I was doing fine for about 6 months... then those .......s in Germany had to make a Kayfun v5. :(

Other than that, I'm good to go. If the industry is allowed to press on soon most will be dragging power generators on wheels behind them to power their gigawatt devices. I'll stick with what works though.

I too have been away for awhile, my setups have been doing the job.

My IPV v3 150w, Sigelei 150w, and tube mods have been keeping a string of toppers along.
Although I have been on a Geekvape kick lately (Tsunami, Griffin 25, and Avocado 24) very recently replaced an outdated RDA and two Atlantis v2 tanks.

Ironically the FDA regulations are what brought me back to the forums. I wanted to contribute to and be informed on vaping advocacy.

Nah. Even when I've got a very consistent, great ADV going, I enjoy talking about new stuff.

Variety is the spice of life. I never want my shinyitis "cured", not that I think it'd even be possible. ;)

A good tank makes the vape, no doubt... The right juice is the key too, chasing the latest fad flavor wise was never my thing. I did the tobacco flavor thing for a few years and then did the switch to unflavored and never looked back. I don't feel like I'm missing a thing.

Not gonna lie though, I do have shinyitis, so sometimes not keeping up saves my wallet from taking a hit.

Yeah, I've been pretty satisfied for several months now. I still come here daily just to keep up, but I rarely comment, because most of the time I don't have any experience in the newest stuff, and don't have the slightest clue what you all are talking about.

I also use unflavored liquid, but I occasionally pick up something on clearance, just because.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as the OP. IPV2, IPV3, SigMini30, Sig150, various tube mods, couple other newer TC mods, couple RDAs, but mostly RTA's. Unflavored most the day with a mix up of tobacco flavors to spice it, my fruity flavors are all on the RDA's or couple sub-ohm RTAs (Subtanks, Bellus, OBS Crius). But yeah, not into the latest and greatest, I take my time to look into future purchases a while anymore, though yes, I've been eye balling not only the Kayfun 5 but the Kayfun Mini V3 very seriously lately as still to this day love my Kayfun Lite+'s and Kayfun 4's which make up 80% of my ADV tanks.

Me! I rarely post here anymore and scan the for sale/wanted section usually. I use two lp REO's with RM3's and readyXwick. I barely remember how to build a coil and all I do is fill my juice bottle with unflavored eliquid and I'm off and gone. Perfect for me for many months....I no longer look either....I'm happy and satisfied.

Practically in the exact boat you are/have been. Been vaping 3 1/2, went through the shinyitis phase, the never ending search for the perfect flavor phase, the "clouds bro" phase, the temp control phase and so on.

Then after watching a PB video he said something that really hit home with me. I don't recall exactly what it was, but it made me realize I smoked for 26 years, the same brand, the same flavor, the same "clouds"; what was I really searching for in vaping. I concluded I just didn't want to smoke and I didn't need clouds, power or fancy coils to accomplish that.

I started making my own juice, same as you, 60vg/40pg, nic and menthol (from crystals), settled on a VTC mini and SS Kbox mini with STm's and have been perfectly content. I did make a couple recent purchases because I like what SS coils have to offer and my VTC mini is showing it's age, but I still plan on keeping it simple.

I have been away from the forums for a while as well. Finding that "happy place", I just didn't feel the need to stop in. I like helping people around here, but with so many differing opinions to questions it is pointless to give yours most of the time. If I can get in on the first few comments I will usually give it a shot, otherwise I just pass it over.

The FDA losing their mind is what brought me out of the shadows now, need to keep up with this "situation".

I pretty much feel the same about hanging out here.

I go through spells of no purchasing, of being more than satisfied... I do come here and just read and jump in when I feel I can add something.

Like Grimwald and Randy, I have noticed I do not comment for the same reasons.

Every once in a while I read a post by some one that Ive come to associate as someone with "like" tastes and a device will interest me.

Seems like once or twice a year I do take the plunge and buy a few things and most of the time I end up having to sell them off because for my style of vaping its just too much performance.

I HATe having to sell. I always expect to loose some money, but I feel like its as if I "rented" the item.

Many times its real hard to sell something. Though it was real hard to find and sells out in Europe or other forums, in my circles it becomes that " white elephant"

ANyway, I really enjoy it here, wish I could back off on the lurking and browsing and had a stronger will to resist the temptation of buying.

Once I ht my "sweet spot" of a really durable PV (in my case, Provari 2.5), tank with rebuildable coils (Aspire Nautilus) and DIY flavors (unflavored and menthol), I basically stopped hanging out here, except to check for The Man's newest tactics to beat vaping into the ground. And help out on that score, where I could.

Note that my emphasis has been finding eliquids and hardware with which I can survive the Vapemageddon long-term without subsequent purchases.

According to actuarial tables plus family history, I've got maybe another 20 years before I shuffle off this mortal coil. So to allow for a margin of error, I've stockpiled enough hardware and concentrate to last until I'm 95. (For instance, I have 16 Provaris new-in-box — but tested! — in my stash.)

Chasing the newest flavor sensation and shinyitis have never been in my makeup. And I saw the Demon Regulations on the horizon.

I didn't even know about this forum until I had already been vaping for over 2 years. I was researching a new device and stumbled across the site by accident. Most of what was being posted I already knew through my own research but I lurked around a bit before joining.
I too was off of here for awhile. I had found a couple of mods and tanks I liked and was DIYing my juices. I ordered a couple of boxes of coils at a time off the internet and life was good. Then my regular vendor was out of coils and I ventured into a new B&M nearby to pick up a couple of spares and my life was changed. I walked out with a new Protank and a bad case of shinyitus. So look at me now, I'm almost a regular:w00t:
