I started vapeing to save money. But with new products and new juice every time I turn around. I really believe I am spending more on vapeing, than I did when I smoked. I see no end to it either. I keep an active wish list going. And it seems to grow each day. Good thing my kid decided not to goto collage :). Guess his inheritege will be next ;)

Try taking a month or two and maximizing your current setup. I would guess by now you have a few PVs, a couple favorite juices, and a favorite carto/atty or two. If you have a VV mod that's perfect, spend a day or two with each juice and find your favorite voltage. If you can hold off even a week or two you'll have enough saved to try the next thing on your list. Also, go to the diy section and start looking around, there is plenty to do in this hobby on the cheap

Quit spending most of the day (or even a decent chunk of it) browsing hardware websites and the classifieds. That will put a big dent in your spending.

Stop the "grass is greener on the other side" mentality. Barring a major revision in hardware you generally won't see a HUGE difference.

ONLY buy something when your banner says you saved enough money to do so.

uh that would be easy for me as i don't even shop for clothes alot .Its like anything ,self discipline .when you have enough ,stop and use your stock ,or almost all until you are at a low level of your favs .If they are the most popular flavors and the ones you cant live without stock up on those only .Put yourself on a budget ( per month ) whether its 20. or 200 .and stick to it .I was spending 50 for a carton of smokes or 7 per pack at a pack a day so yes i have saved alot of moolah .
I am stocked up and allow about 35 to 80 per month depending on my stock levels .So yeah saving a fortune .

This is classic and typical of how all vapers start and their views on saving money at 2-3 months in. Noting that Vapers have addictive personality traits is an understatement. By 6 months you will have a better grasp of what you need as opposed to what you want.

I have always found the banners noting "money saved" as a complete farse. In no way does that reflect the other costs like gasoline to go buy the ciggies, lighters, or possible health associated costs.

In the last 6 months the e-cig industry has had huge advancements in hardware. Mods are no longer junky bulky glued together items that leak and break easily. Batteries have also made giant leaps in mAh along with much better circuitry and lifetime warranties. Cartomizers didn't change much for years, but are now undergoing a revolution, a lot of bad ones have come out...but that is just part of the process.

Take a look at the Variable Voltage mods that have hit the market in late 2010 and 2011. First you had The Buzz, followed by the ProVari, then the Darwin...all of these are around $250 - $300.00 range and now you can find VV mods for under $50.00.

I think everyone should have at least 1 mod in their arsenal.

My banner below.... initially it had a "break even" date. I removed that because It'll probably never come. I keep the "cost" of what I would have burned up in cigarettes because it is kind of fun to see just how much I would have spent on something super unhealthy.

Most of my 12 batts are the clearance models, with V4L coupons, or picked up from classified ads here, so my investment there isnt as great as one might think. Also, I'm moving quickly into refilling with juices, which (depending on the juice) could be as low as $0.56 per cart vs $1.80 prefilled.

Been trying to avoid this thread Arkywolf sir...

As long as I keep testing items of the ecig world will never save money. V4L luckily runs awesome sales, but the scope of what I test go beyond what they sell. Have a whole drawer filed with batts and cartos/atties that I don't use four any purpose but tests... People wonder why I speak so highly of V4L, it's because I've tried what else is out there (and keep trying it) but nothing matches up.... For most thigh who don't vape 10+ ml's a day and don't have a need to test everything, saving is easy... Just won't happen for me...

OMG! I just went to V4L.com, and looked at my past orders page, and saw the "Total Spent" number!!!

If my wife saw that she would crap! The last few years I've been supplementing my "401g" (g for gun) investments the last two months of the year, but not 2011. My investment has been in NOT SMOKING! I'll have to remind her of that - oh, and the $200 purse she bought herself, and her recent upgrade from "plain old dumb cellphone" to iPhone.
