Should I get a scale that goes down to .001 (thousandths of a gram) or is hundredths enough?
And can anyone post a link to a good one, please?

You know, I did look at that thread a couple weeks ago but could not remember where I saw suggestions for scales, so I posted this thread. If you read through this thread (stickier at the top of the DIY E-Liquid subforum):
Mixing By Weight: Basics 101
A lot of the discussion, that follows the tutorial, is about scale selection.![]()
I bought one. That oneI've used the American Weigh Scales LB-501 for a couple of years. It's accurate, repeatable, and easy to use and calibrate. I comes with a bowl to contain spills and is relatively inexpensive. The AC adapter is included and I use it instead of batteries, although the battery mode would be convenient if you want to mix where there's not an outlet.
I bought one. That oneI had figured on not using the bowl but that is a very good point with the spillage. Seriously, might save me some heartache in the future.
Suggest purchasing a back up and/or syringes if you suddenly find yourself without a scale for some reason.I bought one. That oneI had figured on not using the bowl but that is a very good point with the spillage. Seriously, might save me some heartache in the future.
I have and use this scale. It works great but I don't use the bowl.Dave was obviously a messy baby.I've used the American Weigh Scales LB-501 for a couple of years. The scale folds flat and slips back into the box along with the bowl it came in for storage.
