It's so easy to say or assume people should do research before coming to conclusions yet sometimes I think that many of us forget that the average Joe or Jane gets their *facts* from other people who've also done no research.
I believe we are more involved in research because we're part of a forum that takes pride in getting it right and denouncing false claims of ecig use overall.
I don't think a person being "smart" has anything to do with what we feel they should've done.
As you were....
I think it's also easy to forget that we're on a forum for vaping enthusiasts - we probably represent a tiny fraction of the vaping population.
Not everybody thinks about vaping in the detail we do - I know several people who vape, but it's not a big part of their lives and they don't devote much time to learning about it.
It even varies among people on this forum - many people don't build their own coils or wouldn't use a mech mod etc.
An analogy might be cars - almost everybody owns and drives a car, but not as many people know how to change their own oil. Even fewer people would tackle the job of overhauling their brakes.
Some people are so into cars that they would work on an automatic transmission.
Doesn't mean you are stupid if you don't crawl under your jeep in the snow to fix your CV joint, it's just not something you're 'into'.
Long time, no posts. Regardless I had to comment about common cold resistance I've experienced in the past 3 1/2 years.
Might start with a scratchy throat in the morning, then gone the next day many times over. I haven't come close to a full blown cold in years.
Seems to work for me.
I used to get three or four colds per year. Since I started vaping just over a year ago, I have only had one full blown cold.
My family have had a few (a particularly bad year) but like you said, I just got a scratchy throat for a day or so.
I don't know if vaping has had a protective effect, or if it's just that I'm touching my mouth less than I did when I used to smoke.
