A friend tried my first eGo set-up and liked it. I didn't see her for awhile, but the next time I did she said she bought a Blu and hadn't smoked in over a month! I brought over a more advanced kit, so of course she was amazed. I lent her some gear, including 2 batteries and my back-up charger. I told at the time that I would want them back. She doesn't have much money, but neither do I. What does Ms. Manners say is the amount of time that should pass before it is polite to ask for my gear back?

I've got five of these things. They give them to people wanting to try new flavors at my B&M store.

Oh they come in handy! I'm not Howie Mandell level of germaphobia, but no one's going to wrap their greasy lips around my PV without one of these.

This happens to me all the time. I converted most of my close friends, and they ALWAYS bum my stuff. For example if me and my best friend are hanging out on a Friday, we pass it back and forth, kind of like other activities some people indulge in ;P. But he throws down half of the money for my e liquid, and he's my closest friends, so I don't really mind!
Then there is the people that I see that see it and are really interested with it, and most of the time, they bum a drag(I have an extra mouthpiece that I use).

Good question.

I'll have to ask my B&M. They're like solid little drip tip condoms. If you have a standard drip tip, even a Volt, they slide right over them. Super hygienic. Give me a few and I'll try to find out where they get them.

They give them away freely so they can't be expensive. Like I said, I have 5.

EDIT: They make excellent emergency drip tips, too. Although you can't drip with them. ;-)

I can't say I have encountered a scavenger yet, but if I do, I'll make sure before they take a drag off of my PV they know about the horrible case of influenza I just got over

My girlfriend is a blood analyst and has influenza kits. I have one of them. They're super cool. There's 20 something tubes, and you break a seal and squirt liquid into the tube, swab your nose with a qtip, swirl it in the liquid, stick in a thin strip of paper, and if you see blue, you gots da flu!

i usually just keep a few alcohol prep pads in my wallet for the "can i try it" crowd i usually bump into at malls and stuff.

When someone asks me if they can try a puff I tell them there are 2 things I don't share: My PV & my wife.

So this is what you do:

Cough and hack and cough and say "it's flu season, sorry man. It's like probably all over my gear too" the if they persist or say they want to fiil up their tank, have stashed a bottle of the nastiest maggot-gagging juice you've ever tried.

Then, when they are done gakking up that juice, say the "flu" must have screwed up your taste buds.

Then give 'em a business card of a juice vendor.

Some people just aren't careful with gifts. I work with two guys who bang their gear around like they're kid toys. One has been through 3 Twists within one month. I can't gift something to someone who will blatantly abuse it. It would be like giving puppies to someone who... kills puppies.

On the flip side, I have a coworker who recently started and I offer to help her out all the time with new liquid, different delivery devices, and even offered up one of my extra spinners so she could try VV.... Her reply? "That is so sweet, but I need to support my own habit."
