Well, first time that I've been screwed by screwdriver in a bad way today.

After about week of evaluation, I realized that one of my battery isn't lasting as long as it should. It started out lasting only a couple hours at full charge... and became like an 1 hour, now it's about 15 min or so. I ordered a 4pack and a couple chargers from deal extreme - but it's going to take at least 2 weeks to get here... so I'm little concerned that I only have 1 good batt. :( That one lasts at least 6 hours for my vapin needs...

And it's not like I can just walk out and find a RCR123 3.6V like anywhere - I actually tried a small Radio Shack, looking for one, but they didn't carry any. Battery Junction in CT, seems to only have protected one with 3.6v which as far as I know that trog doesn't really recommend for SD for its longer size... or only 3.0v... and it's in connecticut.

If anyone knows any local electronic or camera stores in NYC/NJ area that sells 3.6v RCR123 by any chance? Just one would suffice for my arrival of 4pack re-inforcements... :( 1 would last me a long time, and when I'm at work, I could re-charge as soon as I'm done with vaping for a while... but I plan going out for a full day doing BBQ with my friends... and when the batt dies, I might have to turn to analogs.

For the first time, I'm regretting selling off all my other e-cigs. Perhaps I should have hold onto at least 1 of them a little while longer... but I was about to pre-order manual 901 PT from PS for my kensington pp as a back up.. I didn't realize that short period of time when I'm actually vunerable, might become a reality.

Lesson learned: Even with SD, make sure you have a back-up unit!

Anyhow, if anyone knows any local vendor in NYC/NJ area who sells RCR123a 3.7v at any mah... please kindly let me know. :)

Well, thank you Elendil, and yvilla for your kind and generous offer. :) Only if you were little closer to the city... i could have drived up there. I appreciate your offer, but to save you some trouble, I'll see how I can hold up for a little while with 1 batt. (and watch that e-bay as well. :))

Monday will be the worst, because I'll be outdoors pretty much whole day - but rest days, I'm always near by a power outlet, so I'll just remember to charge whenever I'm done w vaping. My commute is only about 40min, so as long as I keep chargin while I'm not vaping, I think I should be alright.. although I might not always get the highest voltage out of it.

When I put my e-cig stuff on sale, actually it really went faster than I expected. LOL. There's just something about my luck w/ e-cigs... but I'll march on! (boo yah!) But yvilla, please don't mind if I pm you in the middle of week or so and beg you for sale of one of your batteries. ;)

really, thank you both again. :)

we are looking at ways to weed out these dud batteries.. our current method of testing isnt picking them up..

we have a high current draw thing made up that wacks 2.5 amps thru them.. dud ones soon show up when put in that.. but its only a recent thing and we know some folks have got some dud batteries.. not a problem if you have spares but certainly a problem when you dont..

dont buy 3 volts ones.. you need a special 3 volt charger for them..

Thank you Walrus, for helpful link. :)

UltraFire 880 mAh Unprotected Rechargeable Battery RCR123a Compatible

This definitely is one that I want. Since I already ordered those from earlier e-bay from CT... but I'll save this site for the future purpose, or to recommend. :) If I had known this site, I would have ordered earlier instead of deal extreme.. ;)

Since 4pack + 2 nano chargers (1 extra at home, and one to be left at work), + 2 from e-bay, and 1 I have at home.. with 7 batteries, I'll be pretty set for a long long time, even if a couple of new ones might end up being a dud. But maybe by same time next year, if many of those start to show the age, I'll definitely go with this route.

thx!
