I can't say enough good things about my sdMKII. One tightening of the button and I've never had a problem. I did break a unit once and had a loooong wait, but they did replace it. The thing I love most about the sd is it's ease of use. You guys should seriously mess around with it a bit before you write it off. It's a excellent tool for daily use, and is rugged and dependable. I hate that you had problems with it. I was a heavy smoker, and although the sd was made for carts, dripping in this thing will blow me up. So I have had a negative experience with TW's customer service, but they made it right, and I'll never have anything but great things to say about the SD. Outdated, maybe. But still very effective. The simplicity of it's design will always make it fire. Which is more than I can say for some of the units that I've had. I like the other mods as well, but having a switch die on you when you are out and about got old. So please don't give up on your sd, tinker with it a bit and see what happens. And I replaced my stock button cover with a sharpie marker cap. works great and makes uncovering the button and taking a drag a one handed operation. Thanks for listening, have a good day!

I have the MKII, and have had no problems with it. It functions exactly as described, and is well made. You can tighten the button with a regular screwdriver inside the case. The only thing I don't like about it, which is the same problem with my SP2 Sparkplug, is filling the carts and carrying a bottle of juice around with me during the day. I solved this problem by buying a REO. It feeds directly onto a 510 atty from a 6ml dispenser bottle, and has a much larger 18650 battery, which lasts me 2 days.......

I've had my SD for months. To be fair, I COULDN'T use if for about a month because shortly after I received it, I lost the button spring and it took me that long to get around to ordering a replacement.

But, I got the spring quite a while back. Although I like the looks of the SD, in the time it was out of service I got TorneGo'ized. Previously, I was unimpressed with 510s. But, the TorneGo with LR Atomizers, and the Mega cylinder atomizers and Mega cartos switched me. And, the SD just hasn't really been used much since. Like you, I'm not fond of the button/button cap, even when it is working correctly.

Sorry to derail, but you mention the ego mega cylinder stomizers switched you from the SD. Have you tried the ego mega cone atomizers and how do they compare? Does the ego lost the warmer righter draw that the ego is known for with the cone cover when you are using it with a mega cylinder atty without the cone?

And what are the differences between the ego and SD that made you switch from the SD to the ego?

thanks a lot, moving up from my 510s to the egos in about 10 days now and after switching batts for the 6th time today i am very excited for the 900mA XL ego starter kits!
