Throw us some more bones! Woof, woof! Okay, I've been meaning to ask, you've been using #1 for what, close to 2 months now? How many cleanings and replacement of the coil have you done?

I have changed the coil once, it did not burn out, just alot of residue on the SS and low vapor production. Pulled it apart and burned the SS and washed it and added a new coil. Been a month since I did that. I use a maple caramel apple, so the surgar from the maple gums it up some what faster. No biggy took me all of 5 min to clean and re-coil it.

oh man i just had a thought. instead of bending the wick over in a u shape - have a straight wick come out each hole with a coil on each one for dual coil fun! well maybe not quite that simple on scubagen3 but an interesting idea none the less...

The Genisis traditionally has one straight wick, one though..

Been there done that, search in the genesis thread for dual coil, I posted a pic of it running dual coil.
**Warning it hits like a hammer**

That's a lotta work just laying them out !! Not even mentioning packaging them up !

Dan...what do you think about starting a trouble shooting thread ? Or do you want to keep it all here ?

Ummmm....only 2 1/2 wraps glowing...from the positive side...wraps not touching, nothing broken....

Am I gonna have to re wrap this already ? (I be noivous !) LOL ! What else can I look for ?

Hi classwife...just carefully tap the wraps of coil that were /are glowing...not while hot...then re check...

and let me guess you cleaned it...lol

BTW changing it out isn't so bad...might take you a few times but all in all the scubagen is pretty easy...

and those quick change posts make a big difference...
