So whats next on the project Dan?

mrengles put me in touch with a company in FL that can read and use the emachineshop files and are suppose to be cheaper with better quality. I will go over the measuments again before sending them the files for the quote and see if they can beat the cost and time table that emachineshop has. When I get notifaction of said price, I will post the go ahead for the co-op after talking to the moderators here.

You are the...MAN! :toast:

I can't emphasize enough how well the V3s are working out on the P18 and the SS GGTS... I got Blueberry Menthol in one and tobacco in the other and both are really doing a great job. I can't wait to get a couple of these new units...! thanks again for all your hard work!

ANY help you need... let me know!

I am setting no time table, when it happens I will give due notice and give people ample time to sign up first and then do a pay call after sign ups are done.

Any instructions come with it or is it all in this thread?
Thanks!

As with the SGV3 I will do a tutorial on how to put it together and adjust and use it.

Was it a different unit I read about, or will this one hit like a DC, and all I do is install a new wick now and then?

Also, it sort of looks like an inline glass fuel filter. Any chance on getting the outside housing to work with this? It would cut cost down considerably I would think. I mean there is already a thick glass precut, leakproof and heat resistant...

If I am talking sacrilege, forgive me!

First off Ive done a couple of searches on this thread but it is much to long to be effective. I realize I am a bit late to this party but oh well.

I picked up a v3 frame off the classies recently and am trying to build it. What I got going so far is not exactly show quality but its functional....except for the wick. I seem to have rolling it up and getting it into the bic tubes mastered but cant curl it into a horseshoe shape without kinking it. Also, when heating and quenching it, it always has some continuity(shorts out the coil). When trying to ultra torch(with an actual torch) it the kink will get brittle and rip. I have tried cutting the mesh at a 45 deg angle. This method helps some with the kinking but I always end up with at least one.

I'm not sure how many wraps the wick should have. I don't know how important not having kinks in the wick is. I have the link to the instructions but it pretty much just says to roll it up and heat it. I am using 400 mesh I ordered from that UK mesh company(if that matters).

I need some more detailed instructions

thanks

Well, as far as details go, Dan did a video on YouTube for rolling the wick. It takes practice to master it. I have found that rolling the center back and forth between my fingers helps in the bending part. You might be using too much wick material. The smaller the wick is (tighter the roll), the easier it is to bend. When you do get the bend in it.....start in the middle gently bending with your thumbs on the bottom and forefingers on the top. You will start to see the wick actually twisting as it bends, and that's ok. While you are trying to bend it, roll it between your fingers. If it kinks, straighten it out and roll the kinked spot between your fingers until it comes out. Thestart again. Eventually you will feel the mesh almost have a soft feel to it....rather than stiff.

If all else fails, some have had success bending while heating. Either way, keep at it and there are many of us on here willing to help you until you get it right. Just don't give up...you will be happy with the time and effort you put in to it once you get it vaping like it should. :)
