I push the button on my 650mah ego battery and within 2 seconds this is what my coil looks like.

The wick is dry and the tank is empty.

Thanks for the reply Turbo.
Watched the video okay before. I was just trying to verify if the width of the starting mesh was 1.5" as this is just
about the only difference from the old 'curved' meshes I made. Thought maybe the amount of mesh in there might
be causing the problems. The other ones kinda 'spiraled' when doing the rolling for the curves without kinking.
Guess I'll bring some mesh to work tomorrow and practice in the john :)

From memory of watching dans vids the gen3 does get condensation. And very nice example pkz thats a nice glow exactly what you want!! Good job.

really? inside with the juice? that doesn't seem right - there shouldnt be any way for vape or condensation to get in there... guess i better go finish mine first so i know what i'm talking about lol

PK how did you get condensation inside the juice chamber?

My theory of why is the back flow of air into the chamber mixed with the heat of wick causes condensation.

Thank you bmwzero!

Yeah!

That's it...

During this part of the build the tank is empty.

The air inside the tank was heated while heating the wick and when the air in the tank cooled the moisture dropped out of the air causing the condensation.

The humidity is high today and I set this up in my garage.

Edit to add;

It may be juice that ended up getting inside the tank, or both...

Jeez! Seeing all this is making me excited. Hopefully my Kanthal and SS Mesh will be here tomorrow.

I have been shortening mine up quite a bit. I still need to sand a bit and smooth things out, but this is what I have atm... I cut a section out of the bottom, and used a tension pin in the center to maintain straightness, and create a bridge for the ground. I used J.B. Weld to seal up where the 2 halves meet. It is easy to work with, cleans up well, and it food grade safe after it cures. I forgot to take a measurement before I cut it, but it is now down to only 1 5/8ths" on the bottom section.

got a pic? i have been thinking bout a shorter one just wasnt sure.....

I edited the previous post with a pic. It's the best pic taken so far, but all I have is an iPod. I actually cut it with my $25 battery operated Dremel. Of course I had to go buy a new dremel today because it killed it, but the cut was perfectly flat and smooth. I just had to recharge the battery about 30 times to make the cuts LOL.
