Thanks to the wonderful ppl who PM'd me exactly where I could get the nuts. I have plenty ordered so if anyone else still needs some I have a few extra :)

So even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.

+10 for Zen's creative FedX mod.
He was just following his Rx. hence the name "mod u MUST Fever".

Don't hold back when the Fever strikes, it will only make it worse.

I think every Ace in the US actually has them, they've just been sitting there since Jimmy Carter was president and no one knows they are there....

The funny thing about that, is that my local ace, which is absolutely huge, was built last year, and they don't have them. They DO have an AMAZING fastener selection with an incredible variety, but the smallest metric nut they have is M3... It truly boggles my mind that they have show-chrome polished and plated 3/4" nuts and bolts and an assortment of really high quality T6 6061 rod, tubing and bar, but they don't have a metric nut below M3.

I love going to ace and having to explain and walk the employee through finding what I need. Then there are those ones that think they know everything about tools just because they are one. Btw I used to work at ace about 7 years ago :D

My last time at ace I walked into the rope and stuff aisle and there was an older man employee with his back turned towards me, I say politely "excuse me" .. no answer .. figure he's hard of hearing, "EXCUSE ME" he snaps at me, "NOT WHILE IM HOLDING A KNIFE!" ... whoa, did this guy just threaten me?? Or can he really not hold a knife and talk

Ok I have been busy working on DSUv5 design, I have been thinking about making it easier to assemble and also added in an air ajustable feature. Also looking into a juice adjustable feature.
The top will have dual 3/8" o-rings to accept a 3/8 OD x 1/8 ID tube, this will increase the amount of juice it can hold by narrowing the air tube from 1/2" to 3/8". This piece would have 3 orings on it. Two inside, and one outside.
DSUv5_Top.jpg

The bottom of the DSU I have decided to make into 2 parts, the upper halve would have all connectors positions threaded. By using vented SS screws I can add airflow with out the worry of leakage. Also the outside of the bottom would be threaded 3/4 32TPI and mate with the bottom battery connector piece. This piece would have 3 orings on it. The connectors would be one positive screw with nut (non vented), one ground screw with nut (vented) and one air screw (vented).
DSUv5_Bottom #1.jpg

The very bottom piece would have the battery connector tooled in. The only thing to add would be a closed center post and silicon insulator from a doner atomizer. The air holes are drilled where the upper bottom piece screws in flush. This will allow the user to vary the air flow from stiff to very airy by slightly screwing or unsrewing the bottom 2 pieces. The inside of this piece would be threaded 3/4 32TPI, and is beveled on the inside top lip to provide resistance to the oring on the upper half so the air ajdust does not move.
DSUv5_Bottom #2.jpg

Well still brainstorming on this, more to come.
Dan

ADDED:
Here is what I am talking about when I say vented SS screw, all screws would be 2-56 in size, the POS post would use a 4-40 nylon insert that you would screw the 2-56 screw into to isolate it:

Can anyone tell me what size o-ring I need for my mouth pieces to make them snug. Just got out of the hospital and thought I seen someone say they changed mouth piece o-rings for a snug fit and now i cant find it. By they way...god bless the hospital...they let me vape while i was in there...The only room with plumes of vapor pouring out the door hehehehe :)

Looking good Dan!!

It looks like these could be made into whatever size you have a preference for too so if you want something shorter or longer it can be done but just cutting different lengths of tubing. Very nice design :vapor:

Yes, these could be made short or longer by the user by simple cutting the poly tube to the size they want. Here is a concept pic:

no..it came while I was in there. Just had my Darwin and some cartos....had a lot of interest..lot of nurses and a couple of docs come in to see how it worked. Had some sharing tips and had some of them try it out :)

That's awesome. It's always nice to see the docs looking positively at vaping :)

Ok, lemme see if I got this straight. Adjustable airflow and gravity feed. I must be hallucinating. This DSU is sounding better and better all the time!

Yes, and I have been playing with an Idea to limit the juice flow by twisting the the main body, a simple
cresent moon design, as you turn the main outside tube the fatter part of the moon moves over the intake hole restricting the juice flow, twisting it back to the thinner part would increase juice flow. Of course the piece would have to be attached to the main tube. The problem is getting it manufactured, it will have to be .75" dia .077" thick and .020 and its thickest spot.

This is awesome. Much easier than shortening the scuba... Obviously you were thinking of me. :D

Why yes, yes I was actually LOL.

Can you show that part in a mockup drawing? I may be able to prototype that for you.
