So sorry to hear Riddle. Nothing sucks more than the loss of a loved one.
Got it all together, put my first wick in....and realized I had cut it too short. Haven't had much time to mess with it....found out we had a death in the family this morning so I have been preparing to leave in the morning for the funeral. Need this together for the six hour ride. Gonna go make a new wick, then fill it back up. Should be good to go. All of the connections test out good.

Run it with the shorter wick, I did for several days til I fixed it.... Worked fine. I just fixed it today because it was bugging me. Was still vapin great.

Thanks Dalton and jaguar for the condolences....my grandmother was a very special person that I didn't get to spend near enough time with. She has been going downhill fast, ever since my grandfather past. At least now her pain is gone, and she is with my grandfather once again. :)

Sorry for your loss UA... comfort to you and yours!

Got my SG3 up and running...and clouding up the living room!

A few minor changes that I made....

First....I only made my wick 1" wide by 4" long. Made rolling the loop easier....

Second...I soldered the negative post in place to add stability....

And last....after all of the talks of TH being too strong, I decided to test my own advice. I drilled two 1/32" holes 180 apart to add airflow.....which gives much better vapor production and reduces the harsh TH to IMHO.....perfect TH.

It doesn't wick as fast as I would like, but all in all it is working as well as one could want, and then some!

Thanks again Dan for all of your efforts!

2 additional air holes? Or did you block the atty air holes?
Mine is dare I say perfect, but throat hit, witch is better now
But not ideal....

The two air holes I drilled were in addition to the air holes in the atty connector. I drilled the extra holes in the top cap right at the coil height. Worked perfectly.

So you didn't fill the center tube at all? I was thinking about doing this, but I worry that would make the draw a bit to airy for me. I guess I could try your way first, and if it is too airy, I can fill the center tube.

yeah, I've been exactly where you are. I was the first grandchild, and I spent every moment with them. luckily I was there to hold her hand when she passed, I got to say goodbye properly, and said the lords prayer for her. my heart goes out to you.

Hey UA, glad you got your SG3 up and running. Sorry to hear about you loss, your in our prayers.

Well minor set back last night, thought I would be smart and drill 3 1/16 pilot holes in preporation for threading the 2-56 hole and the 4-40 hold for when the taps arrive. I broken two bits off in the dang holes. Of course the third hole I uses a 3/32 drill bit and it went perfect LOL. Guess I am re-turning the center piece. Oh well gives me somthing to do while waiting for the taps and dies LOL

The 1/32 holes don't allow much air through....but it does make the draw easier. But if you can get used to the airy draw, you get a lung full of thick vapor....and don't have to take long drags to get it.
