i saw somebody in youtube firing his genisis in a glasstube. but with tank, this should be 1st.
I agree, however Pyrex does have its downsides. For one thing, it is more expensive. Also, even though it is a strong glass, it is still just glass, and can break it you drop your PV. JonahNM, who makes the Torpedo tanks, recently released Pyrex tubes for his tanks, and those were his findings at least.
Actually the Torpedo tank is currently being done with Pyrex. Not a genesis, but it is a tank.

Would have to agree dayv5-v6 look great. The air control would have to be the best part . Imo its really giving you control over everything .
Anyone else having trouble breaking in a new wick and coil on their V3? Was workingreat....now....coil is glowing again after refilling the tank. I know it's a wicking problem, just can't figure out why.
Riddle, I see in your sig you have an army of these now. Maybe an air bubble in the wick? Is gunk blocking the pores in the mesh? You said a new wick and refilling, so did you mean filling instead?
it's very likely a wicking problem, that was my issue too. I vape diy and I usually do 50/50 and that's WAY too thick.
I changed flavors so I pulled and washed the wick in hot water then brushed coil area with soft toothbrush.....replaced the coil.. That's the thing about this type of wick. If an air bubble does get in the wick, I don't see a way of it coming out since both ends are in the liquid. Straight wicks like with the original genisis can pull air in to the tank much easier....I think.
I know it isn't a grounding problem....made enough of these attys to catch something like that. Why use ceramic when the coil and wick are ot making contact with the body? Mesh is properly oxidized, coil is wrapped decent....could be a little tighter....other than that it's good.
Turn it upside down to aide in flow....no glowing. So what I am trying to figure out is why the liquid isn't flowing.
I use a 50/50 mix with #325 mesh wick and I have no problems wicking at all. Very thick, consistent clouds of vapor. A little warm for my liking, but consistent nonetheless.
I doubt it's the liquid, or a bubble, that could get out through the mesh pores itself. I'd say there is crud between the pores and that is why it won't wick. If you unroll the wick and hold it to a light you can see black patches where it is blocked. Could be cleaned, or a new piece.
I'm just going to roll up a new wick and see if that will do it. It's doing better for right now, but it still isn't working right. When all else fails....start from the beginning.
I would autopsy the one you got in there now too. More cleaning with a toothbrush or a torch if you want to get brutal with it

Too tight is always a possibility when there are wicking problems. This one was the first wick, so I went with dans suggestion and cut it 4" x 1", and rolled it until it would fit in the holes. I think on the next one I will make it 3/4" wide and see if that helps with the flow.
@ asdaq....I started to put my torch to it, but changed my mind. I might do that first and see what happens...because I am seeing some juice crust in the top cap. I think the glowing coil is burning the crust off....like dry firing an atty.

Crust inside the wick won't just go away by falling off. And I mean torching when unrolled-- wait you do welding, you know better

I weld pipe...not mesh...lol
And crust shouldn't be but on the first couple of layers. I run it low resistance....and on all of my other genisis attys they last for quite a while. Had the same wick and coil on my Gtank for several months with no issues at all, but that is a straight wick.
EDIT: I don't think you can unroll the curved wicks without it breaking....
