Nicotime,

Thats for the diagram! I have lowered my nic for this build from 18mg to 6mg (thats why i'm so surprised about the TH). Its literally kicking me in the back of the neck every hit, toot, puff what ever you want to call it. :)

Yeah it is definitely more efficient.

One question, should the short end of the "J" wick go into the juice, or be cutoff before that, so that the end is just above the juice reservoir, and below the coil. (right between them both?)

I just let it hang in mid air...if you run it back into the tank your defeating the purpose...but nothings set in stone...play with it...you may come up with something better.

Just my observation the TH seems to be getting less, and less slowly, but less. Maybe my wick just needs to be a little more seasoned?

THANKS EVERYONE for your suggestions!

It will mellow out once you get some carbonized liquid built up on the wick. Depends on the liquid too...my all day 555 runs very clean while my English Toffee will gunk up quicker.

Hi lexi60,

Are you drilling the hole in the top tube piece or the SS top cap? I am assuming the tube piece, but I want to be sure.

Thanks!

Steve

Adding a very small extra air hole in the top cap will reduce TH. And add alot more vapor.
Just line it up with the coil.

A quick questoin on my Supergen V3... I haven't recieved my Precise P18 or GGTS SS yet and am using the Supergen on an Kgo... At the battery on the KGo I am getting 3.0 volts at best and across the posts I am getting 2.95 volts at 2.0 Ohms resistance. I am getting vapor but not loads of it. The question is that when I put the same Supergen on my Ego it acts like it just shorts out. The light switch flashes once and then goes dead. The most V that I am getting out of the ego Battery is 2.86 Volts... Any Idea on what is going on?

I changed flavors so I pulled and washed the wick in hot water then brushed coil area with soft toothbrush.....replaced the coil.. That's the thing about this type of wick. If an air bubble does get in the wick, I don't see a way of it coming out since both ends are in the liquid. Straight wicks like with the original genisis can pull air in to the tank much easier....I think.

I know it isn't a grounding problem....made enough of these attys to catch something like that. Why use ceramic when the coil and wick are ot making contact with the body? Mesh is properly oxidized, coil is wrapped decent....could be a little tighter....other than that it's good.

Turn it upside down to aide in flow....no glowing. So what I am trying to figure out is why the liquid isn't flowing.

UA72, if the liquid is not flowing it means that the capillary action is not working properly. You need to have the central air tube open all the way open through the wick. Wiki quote: "Capillary action, or capillarity, is the ability of a liquid to flow against gravity where liquid spontaneously rises in a narrow space such as a thin tube, or in porous materials such as paper or in some non-porous materials such as liquefied carbon fibre. This effect can cause liquids to flow against the force of gravity or the magnetic field induction. It occurs because of inter-molecular attractive forces between the liquid and solid surrounding surfaces; If the diameter of the tube is sufficiently small, then the combination of surface tension (which is caused by cohesion within the liquid) and forces of adhesion between the liquid and container act to lift the liquid."

I guess the type and make of your liquid could also play a big role since the cohesion forces between the liquid and the s/s wick could play a significant role in the effectiveness of capillary action. Maybe try and cut it with a few drops of water?

Short circuit on the coil and wick. Burn the wick a few times agian. Rinse with VG and re-burn.

Hello everyone,

I've got my ScubaGenv3 wicked and coiled at 2.6 ohms. The wick has been oxidized. My bobas taste great, very clean (best flavor I've ever had) but the throat hit is way to strong. I mean really strong.

I'm using it at 4.2 volts? Am I doing something wrong? Is there anyway to reduce te TH?

Thanks for helping out a genesis newb.

PS. Dan the DSU looks great!

Well after vaping this thing all last night and half of today pushing through the Mike Tyson punches. The TH is much better without any changes to the wick.

It's working awesome right now!

Cleanest flavor I've ever tasted. :)

Well good news, Vtwin nad jed both had contacts for pyrex suppliers. Vtwin sent me a his contacts info and I just got off the phone with John at theecig.com. They have the ability to make the pyrex tubes as they make pyrex drip tips. He is very interested in the project and I will know in a couple days what the word is, if they can do it how much etc... looks like we might have a pyrex source :)
Still waiting on word from jed, always good to have two sources.
Thanks guys!
Dan

That's great news Dan! Just curious, if we aren't cinnamon vapers, and would prefer something that won't break in the unfortunate incidence of a drop, will the PC tubes still fit?
