I would have to agree, the only reason I added them was as you said functionality. The or-ing was tight and my fingers slipped when trying to adjust the air flow. I suppose I could make the tolerance less so it is easier to turn, and then the knurling would not be needed. Will keep that in mind.

Maybe just going one orig size down would do it too, this way it would be slightly stretched and thinner. It should make it a bit easier to turn and should still seal depending on how tight a fit it is to begin with :)

Great work Dan... I really like the versatility of this new version/creation. Have you given it a "whirl" yet?

Yes it performs great, I have decided to go this route so people can choose what type of material to use depending on their juices. Me I do not use cin or bananna, so poly tubing is fine for me. I do like the pyrex idea but would have to be ultra careful with it so the pyrex does not crack. I think I will go with one knurling ring on the main body which is 1/8" and leave the air adjust ring plain, it has more surface area so adjustments should not be a problem, and I will lower the tolerance so it is not so hard to turn. Only thing now it to triple check ALL the measurments in emachine shop to ensure accuracy of concept.

Dan, will the combo, pyrex inside, poly outside still fragile ? for home use. office table use.

The pyrex out is what I would be concerned with, pyrex does good when the pressure is pushing in on it, not so good when pushing out. The inner tube has all oring pushing in but the outer tube has both o-rings pushing out. More prone to cracking in this senario, so poly out and pyrex in IMHO is a home office use machine.
