Hey guys, I have been vaping my joye510 with cartos for a few months now, and am looking to purchase another ecig. I love my 510, but just want to get something else to see what other vapes are like. I would most likely be keeping it for at home use, so something larger like the cigar sized ones wouldn't be a problem; actually, if anyone knows of a cigar or pipe that works well, I would be really interested. Sorry for being so vague, I'm still a little new to the vaping world.

Thanks for the advice :p

you could a riva, better battery life and i know the rivas cheap from liberty flights with the 20% off coupon on the top left of the site. haven't tried the 510 model but i have a 901 and i love this thing battery lasts me all day and then some most days plus you can start using the low resistance stuff and get better vapor. there's also the ego allot of people on here swear by havent had any personal experience with it though

If you'd like to dip your toe into the mod pool, the e-power might be better. It's really just an eGo/Riva style device but, it uses a generic battery. Longer battery life than a Riva or eGo and a cheaper battery to replace. It has a 510 connection so all your 510 stuff will work with it. You can get it at Madvapes.

I really don't understand the, I only use mods at home, thing. I vape a homemade box mod that looks like it fell off a UFO. The police don't pull me over, people don't point, and best of all, no one ever thinks I'm smoking. It's when your out and about that you need the long battery life and large juice supply only a mod can provide. You don't really need it at home.

I'd *strongly* recommend the Go-Go. Take a spin over to the model specific forum and check out this thread. Its small cigar sized, 1300 mAH battery and the cartos (which seem to last forEVER and are easily refillable) hold 3ml. There's a couple of other Go-Go threads there, but there's links to most of them in the one I linked above.

I've had an e-power since monday and I like it just fine. I've also been trying the duel coil cartomizers and I'm liking them as well. I'm mostly a dripper and I like the fact that I can use attys for dripping and carts for the riding mower and so forth and now the duel coils for longer periods of time. The problem I have with any thing that holds a lot of juice is that I think the flavor changes over time. I ran into that today with the duel coil. I had been vaping it yesterday evening and again today, topping it up from time to time when I began to notice a change in flavor. I don't mean burned or anything - my theory is the juice cooks a little and changes flavor slightly.

Hoosierecig and Madvapes have them among others.

Thanks so much for the advice, guys. So, I have been looking into the duel wire cartomizers, and they seem like a huge advantage. Apparently, it has better throat hits and vapor production. Correct? Anyways, do you guys know if the Ego battery has enough power to use the dual wire cartos?

Basically, to make what I am looking for a little more clear, I am looking for something with better vapor production and better throat hits. I am totally content with the battery life and amount my current cartos will hold.

Thanks again!!

PS. I am open to any suggestions you experienced vapers have, not only the duel wires, and I could care less what the e-cig looks like as long as it does the job well.

"Fat battery" 510 mod like the ego/riva/inferno/tornado will vape just like your 510... but for a lot longer! Your 510 has 180mah batteries... regular ego/etc have 680 mah batteries... the XLs (which are longer) are close to 1000mah.

Or... have you considered a mod? I went the 510-ego-mod route, but I only used the ego for a few weeks before I bought a mod (puresmoker prodigy v3.1)... Im loving it, it's pure bliss!

EDIT: I've tried a lot of things (carts, tanks, all sorts of resistances) and I like dripping the best for flavor, vapor, throat hit, and consistency... nothing I've tried touches dripping! I'm @ 6v with high-resistance attys... but 3.7v with low-resistance attys is wonderful too : )

I think I am going to have to check out some of the mod threads, as I am a little confused by them lol. I am yet to try dripping, actually. Both of the attys that came in my starter kit died, and I moved to cartos, as I was told they worked much better. I do think they work better then using the starter attys with cart. Hmmm, maybe I will give dripping a try.

Dont be scared by mods... they're basically just simple batteries with a button and something to screw an atty into... check out puresmoker.com's prodigy or icon... they're all mechanical, offer different adapters, and have great "kit" options. Provari is a really popular "variable voltage" mod... allows you to adjust the voltage to hit the sweet spot of whatever atty you're using. reosmods.com has very popular "box" mods... they're "bottom feeders" that have a small juice bottle inside.

All you need to drip...
1) a decent battery (500+ mah... an Ego or variation of an Ego would work...or a mod)
2) a drip atty (any regular atomizer... I suggest "de-wicking" [a quick search will give you all the info you need])
3) a drip tip (replaces your standard cartridge with filler/juice in it with a tip that allows you to drip directly onto your atty)
4) your favorite juice!

Low-resistance 306 attys (work with 510-threaded devices) pair wonderfully with an ego/ego variation or any 3.7v mod... avidvaper.com has 2x LR 306 attys and a drip tip for $20!

If you want throat hit and more vapor you're going to need more wattage (burn power, essentially)... to get more wattage you need higher volts (510s put out about 3 volts... an ego will put out the same... a mod with a 3.7v battery will give you more volts!) AND/OR lower resistance attys... regular 510s dont put out enough amps to properly burn a low-res atty. HTH!

Okay, I think I am going to go with the prodigy. So, I notice that there are two kits: 3.7v and 6v. I have been looking around, but cannot seem to find differences listed. Do you happen to know? Also, do you know a good place for the low resistance cartos? I noticed that Puresmoker has cartos, but they do not specify if they are standard or low.

Awesome info, by the way. I don't feel as lost. Man, when I started vaping, I had no idea how many different options there would be, and how each one can make such a dramatic difference. This is so much better then heading into the gas station and saying: "pack of Camel 99s" HA!!

I like 6v with high-resistance attys from Ikenvape. I drip only, the 306/510s last for months... no drop in performance. Also, there are only a few high-resistance carto options for 6v vaping... so I'd suggest the 3.7v kit. If you go with the 3.7v, there is a ridiculous amount of options available for low-resistance 510 attys/carts/tank/etc.

The same prodigy unit will also take 2xcr123 batteries for 6v vaping, so you could try 6v vaping down the road... all you'd need is batteries, a charger, and the appropriately-resisted atty!

Try an ego or similar longer lasting battery
Or you can try a mod like the Prodigy V3 (I plan to get one) there are 2 voltages 3.7 and 6 with the 6 you can only use SR or HR attys/cartos and on the 3.7 you can use SR or LR cartos

LR- means warmer vape and more vapor it simulates a higher voltage device
SR- standard resistance no change
HR- can only be used on high volt mods and has the effect of making it seem like a lower voltage

Pure smoker has both standard and low resistanc (SR and LR) attys and cartos (select from the drop down menu which you want)

You CAN NOT use LR attys/carts on a 6 volt mod (thing Wile E. Coyote and an ACME cigar *BOOM*)

as I said LR makes a lower voltage device seem like a higher voltage one.

True... you should probably get the 3.7v kit to start with. If you want to try 6v later on, you always can. The 3.7v battery offered with the Prodigy is 1600 mah or something ridiculous like that... it lasts me 3-4 days!

Awesome. Think I will go with, like Chornbro and Kitty said, the 3.7v. So, and sorry for getting onto another topic, but do you guys have suggestions for some good eLiquid? I have been buying through Viking Vapor, and just made my first order through Joogler Juice. I like what Viking has to offer, and have heard good things from Joogler, but I just wanna see what else is out there. I mostly vape the "fruiter" or coffee like flavors. I am kind of over tobacco flavors--well, I have not had a good one, to be totally honest.
