As anyone who has lived in NY will tell you, nobody believe a word out of a Cuomo's mouth.
Unfortunately this is not true. As we can tell by the number of elections both Andrew and his father Mario won in the past, many by landslides, they were/are quite popular. As someone who has lived in New York for most of his life, i can assure you that the name Cuomo is not thought of as synonymous with " dishonest " a la Clinton. Andrew has a reputation for being ruthless and vindictive at times, and manipulative even, but not being dishonest. His father Mario was known for his erudition and skill as an orator, more accomplished as a speech-giver than a governor, but generally thought of as 'honest'.
Her pronouncement, if left unchallenged, could do harm.
