Yes, the smell as well was one of my concerns. Some of my family members (including the one that is arriving) have a strong sense of smell. I hope the type of liquid I have ins't too bad since all of them are of the "artisan" variety. Most of the juices here locally I don't think I would stand for a minute because the smell is either too strong or chemical-like. Thanks for the info.

Keep in mind that some people are just complainers. I wish I could find the post on here by someone who had a co-worker complaining that the "smell" of people vaping in the office gave her headaches. During her last bout of .....ing to the office manager, one of the vapers caught wind of the conversation and proceeded to blow clouds and clouds of vapor in their direction. The office manager asked if she has a headache now. "No." The office manager then asked if she could smell it now. "No." He then pointed at the cloud of vapor billowing down the hall in their direction. That was the last of the complaints from the now red-faced party about smelling vapor, let alone it's capacity to induce headaches.

Plus, people tend to blame every little sign or symptom on something new that they're doing.
There is a percentage of people in this world that imagine all sorts of ills all the time.
I'm sure some of them are relatives, some of them are friends, and some of them roam these forums.

I have very little patience for germophobes or hypochondriacs.
But then, I've been known to eat things few other human would dare to eat.

Some people observe the 5-second rule, but my rule is more like two days.

You can read or try posting in the Health section but if you want to be completely inoffensive around guests (although I hardly think the odor from vaping is much different than a scented candle), vape unflavored or in another room.
I'd be willing to bet an insane amount of money that a scented candle is FAR more dangerous than what we inhale, let alone what we exhale.

Well, it seems like my question was not well worded in my case. I did not mean to start debating articles and studies. I was thinking about the exhaled vapor and decided to ask the ECF community for their experiences, that is all. I never meant to use the answers as evidence to come to a solid conclusion of what I was going to do. I sincerely apologize for this misunderstanding.

Next time, I will post in the health section. My apologies to all.

No need to apologize at all. Discussions are always good.

We tend to forget that some of these discussions may be 'old hat' to some of us, but a very new topic/concern for others newer to vaping.

I have friends and family (still smokers) that tend to be addicted to scented candles-

Unfortunately, now they're house smells like a mixture of old cigs and cake batter. :D Shouldn't make fun, I used to do the same thing.

When I started vaping my Grandma told me that I didn't have to buy her a Christmas present. She was so happy. I think most of the people in my life are relieved and happy for me. That being said....sometimes its like when you lose weight some people are resentful to the point of retaliation. My best friend smokes and has asthma and at first she used to exaggeratedly puff on her inhaler when I vaped. I was super confused because I have asthma and it has gotten way better since I quit smoking. After a short period she stopped. I don't know how suddenly it is ok and she's even taken a hit or two...but....it is. I think that there may be certain smells that agrivate peoples nose though. I can't stand fake vanilla smell. But I also don't vape where I wouldn't smoke except in my own home.
