Just wanted to share a funny story,
I was recently in the Otario Airport picking up my wife and without thought pulled out my vape unit. I had gotten a funny look by a man standing next to me for about 5 minutes when he pulls out a cigarette and lights up. A security guard runs up to him, grabbing him by the shoulder and tells him to put it out. the man repied to him that he was not the only one smoking and pointed to me. the security guard looks and me with my vape unit and says " that is not a cigarette Sir and he is well within the law to continue" the gentleman refuses to put it out and a cop is called. short story..cost him a $700 dollar fine and a date in court.

The sad part is if you were in the US at the time doing that, the security guard would have asked both of you to stop.
You think we have it bad, try living in Singapore. They REALLY have it bad. Huge fines, everything is confiscated by government officials, most vendors won't ship to SIngapore.

I almost feel a bit sorry for the smoker, mostly for the financial injury. I'm pleasantly surprised at the security officer's knowledge. Right at that moment, I most probably would've tried to educate the smoker. If he refused to at least listen, and he continued smoking, my feelings of sorrow would have never existed.. Actually, I might've tried my 'vape education class' when he took out a cigarette, if I was able to.

I was openly vaping at MSP 3 weeks, or so ago and no one said anything,

    Sortof :offtopic:

I was attending a outdoor festival a few weeks ago at a doctors office. There is no smoking allowed in the building of course, it is also not allowed on the property. I was vaping occasionally at this event, and I was making a conscious effort to be 'downwind', or I was exhaling (visual, but not clouds) upwards. Nobody seemed to mind, there wasn't even any 'fake coughs'. At one time I was even vaping next to the primary doctor of that office. He knew what I was doing, and what I was doing it with. He had no problem at all. I think he noticed the 'etiquette' I was practicing, and if so, that was probably why he had no problems.

    Really?
You may have missed this post I was replying to---

    This was my response-

This is why a lot of places include e-cigs with smoking prohibitions...

Well Steve, the 'sortof offtopic' thing was because my post didn't directly relate to the first post or topic title, but it was somewhat related to the first post, and yours as well. I have no idea what MSP stands for or is, or where it is, but my post did go along the lines of this thread, so..

I recall there was a website that showed which airports in the US allowed vaping and which one banned vaping.

No one really seems to care at airports in the US, as long as one isn't making a scene. Police are usually on their way to something, gate agents are always printing out the 70 page manifests and passengers are just trying to get to their connecting flight or to their luggage...
