Has anyone noticed that vaping causes your throat to be dry and makes you hack? The hacking is like cigarettes but way less and not colored really. Its definitely not the hacks from quitting smoking, it is definitely related to how much vape i inhale. Im using a 90%+ VG juice right now. I must say im kind of afraid vaping is less healthy for my lungs than i originally thought. Does anyone know of any legitimate medical studies regarding e cigs or inhaling vaporized PG or VG?

National Vapers Club - Meeting Place for lovers of e-cigarettes, personal vaporizers and all things "fog" producing!

This is a great deal for an Ego kit, two clearomizers and 10 ml of juice for $22.50 using code Playboy while they last https://www.littleshopofvapors.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=VJE

Good luck to you.

Thanks!

I have been hydrating quite a lot. My throat is dry almost the point of a slight soreness and I have not chain vaped by any means. Heck i probably haven't used more than 0.2ml in 2 days. Also I have been mostly just keeping it in my mouth. I guess from now on I will try to inhale nothing at all.

Must say I am slightly scared this drying effect will bother me badly. I have already invested like $100 so lets hope not. I am hoping that when I get new clearomizers I will be able to make some sort of mix of VG & PG that will work better.

I have heard it both ways, that PG drys more & that VG drys more. Does anyone have any input on which juice I should try for minimal drying?

Or maybe I am just taking too big of hits at once and need to take smaller ones? I have been getting some awesomely thick vapors with this VG & my short wick clearomizer (as long as I make sure to tilt it like a cigarette and not keep it straight up)

I started vaping 6 days ago. I got a Joyetech Ecab because it was half the price and I wasn't sure I was even going to like vaping. I love my Ecab and I really love vaping. You can't even compare a disposable ecig to a Joyetech Ecab or Ego C because they are just soooo much better than a disposable it is ridiculous. I plan to upgrade very soon.

I think that you will find that either a Joyetech Ecab or an Ego C would be very easy to use. The Ecab is 5 inches long (including the juice cartridge) and less than 1/2 an inch wide...it's almost exactly the same size as a uniball pen.

I was finally drawn to vaping again because of all the improvements that have been made over the last few years, most especially the huge assortment of flavors that are available now and it being more like actually smoking. The ecigs I tried three years ago were horrible and pretty much useless. Thanks to vaping I really believe that I will finally be able to quit smoking after 32 years.

I was having a similar problem with throat irritation and drying the first couple of days, because vaping is so different from smoking. Since you got the Ego C type I have an idea that might help you; it helped me anyway. When you are in the process of vaping if you release the power button about two thirds of the way through and keep drawing in air it dilutes and cools the vapor some which makes it less drying. This trick also completely eliminated the coughing problem you get if you try to inhale vapor like it's an analog. I think the drying and irritation are partially from the PG/VG and partially from the temperature of the vapor itself.

I started with a nice assortment of flavors and the only one I really don't like is the 'tobacco' one. Even though you smoked regular lights I highly recommend trying one of the milder peppermint flavors, like an after dinner mint one or mixing a peppermint flavor with a cream one. I never smoked menthols, and I hated the taste of them, but the peppermint ended up being my favorite flavor. The one I got is slightly cool, soothing to the throat, and it tastes like a milder form of an altoid. I love the flavor of the peppermint, but the biggest reason it's my favorite so far is that it feels the most like actualy smoking without irritating my throat at all.

My .02 worth - buy two batteries! You don't want to be SOL if one goes dead! My personal recommendation to start with is any eGo style battery. Many different manufacturers make them but Joyetech is the original and best and maybe smok #2. You can buy a passthrough which allows you to vape while it is charging on a car adapter or USb cable. The next item is a "juice container". The newer tank styles are quickly gaining momentum but you can always go with the older cartridge type. The cartridge is a little less "noticable" if you don't want everyone asking you "what is that." The tank style is great as it holds more e juice. Personally I prefer a clearomizer. It is a tank style with a wick. The second type is the cartomizer tank style. I have tried them but they didn't suit my style - harder to fill and made too much noise. Any of the eGo style clearomizers will work with the eGo style battery. Hard part is juice - again my opinion - stick to a e juice made in the US, if you are a one pack a day lights user I would recommend 12 to 18 mg of nicotine for strenth. I was two packs/day and started with 18 mg. It gave me enough nic to avoid withdrawal type stuff, but was light enough to keep me from feeling crappy if I chain vaped in my office. Flavor is completely up to you. Try a sample pack. If you buy more that one flavor, make sure to purchase extra cartomizers or coils (for clearomizer) so you can use a different one with each flavor. Good luck!
