Just started using an aga-t2 yesterday and ended up making a horizontal cotton ball coil & wick setup as detailed by a video by vapdivrr... all I can say is holy ....! Built the coil over the fill hole, and once I learned I have to pull out a screw from one of the other holes to actually allow an air flow, it vapes amazing. It's the most absurdly easy thing too, once the coil is setup, I just slide the tiniest piece of cotton under it, let it wick... done!

As for leaking, this is what interested me. Mine is currently configured to have two open holes on top, one hole ends up having a saturated bit of cotton OVER one hole (not even in the hole, that would actually make it not function correctly believe it or not), while the other hole is just opened and exposed. It seems like this setup, at least, doesn't leak when tilted, and I vape with the thing completely horizontal. To further this, I tried to refill the tank with a syringe in the exposed hole... and juice came pouring out the same hole, only by having a second OPEN hole was there some kind of airflow that would let the juice go in (while letting the air out), so I imagine any genesis with a proper saturated wick in one hole will maintain a vacuum and keep the liquid in. Now to be fair, I haven't actually tried storing this thing on it's side or upside-down, so I don't know if everything changes once it's shaking around in your pocket or something, for all I know, shaking could make it come pouring out or something, I'm not willing to test this anytime soon :p

Just my thoughts, I'm very happy I bought one to test. Only con I have, atm, is it feels like it goes through juice faster than my protanks using the exact same micro-coils. I'm guessing that the wicking is more efficient, allowing it to burn through more juice. Good? Bad? I'm not even sure, but it's heavenly.

Well since people are talking about Kayfun's I will throw the Taifun GT into the mix. I am currently waiting on the V2 Clone to come in but as far as the original goes PBusardo considers it the best vape he's ever had. It is listed as his #1 on his site tasteyourjuice.com and he reviews it below:

The V2 Clone I am getting fixes the few thumbs down PBusardo points out, including a Pyrex tank (instead of plastic), top fill design, lower wick deck so you can use more of the juice before refilling, and adjustable air flow.

finicky genisis tank? no, just people that don't know how to build one properly....

my wick/coil setups last me for weeks on end, with the occasional dry-burn! and i dont baby m setups, so they get jarred around quite a bit.

my tanks dont leak... well, except for the Zen, it just never passes the "overnight lay-down" test
RSST, DID D20, CHID AGA-T.... and a few others that i have set up, dont have leaking issues. they roll around the office desk all day.
Again leaking is due to improper setups.

By improper setup i mean, wrong setup for the wrong tank... each is slightly different so you got to build according to the requirements of the tank. There is no one magical way to make a wick and coil...

MANY of us have bullet proof setups, but as they say, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Don't be discouraged by the hype of those that cant.

it just takes patience to create the perfect(for you) build. once there, it's all repetition.

good luck in your choice :vapor:

I've also been looking into droppers and gennys and I have a question. What is the main difference? The fact that drippers you have to drip juice directly to the wick, and gennys wick it through a tank? I guess now saying that out loud I'm more confused about how genies actually wick. Can someone sort of break it down for me or at least link me to a thread that does. Thank you guys.

I think it is hard to beat the flavor of a properly set-up genesis device, although they do take time to perfect im glad I invested the time. if one can build a perfect genesis device every time consistently, then you can build anything. for me the only downfall to a genny is the juice is in more contact with the hot coil then lets say a dripper, or a device like the k-fun. this does create slight loss of flavor over time of the juice. every time you tilt the juice gets slightly heated by the coil then travels back to the tank, after a half tank this juice is not the same as a fresh tank. now it is possible to make a set-up that requires no tilting, and if this can be done, then this issue is nulled. although I still love a genesis device I think they will become less and less popular in the days to come. there are newer designs out there that are easier to build and perform as good. also a genesis device for the most part uses a lot of power to heat the wick itself, this creates a heat sink affect. depending on the size and density of the wick this can use a lot more power to keep going compares to some of the newer designs that use micro coils and a wick like cotton that has no heat sink affect at all, in affect, these set-ups use less power to heat the wick, which creates a more efficient vape. for now I still believe that learning how to set-up a genesis device is still something that is worth while and does produce one of the best vapes around.

its simple, the wick goes into the tank and by capillary action is pulled up to a coil which vaporizes the juice. but a wick needs a little help to travel, this is the genesis tilt.

That's pretty much what my understanding was. I seriously love the look of tanks like that but I think I'm more apt to try a dripper like a cyclone or an igo l

I decided to try both, bought the Russian. which is the kayfun clone, and the I-Atty Zen clone. The Russian should be here tomorrow, and the genesis clone in a couple of weeks. The I-atty was only $15.99, so figured it was a great price to try out a genesis.

I love my Kayfun Lite! It was the first RBA that I got working properly. I have not tried to build a micro coil on mine yet, but otherwise, I think it is an impressively engineered atty. because the Russian is a part for part reproduction, I imagine you will enjoy it. Did you buy the Russian or the Russian 91%?

As for the iAtty, I have not had any personal experience with it, but I have set up other genesis style atomizers. I will say this, they are super frustrating at first. Make sure you take the time to oxidize a SS mesh wick properly. By this I mean torching it before you roll the mesh, torching it before, and burning some juice on it a few times. It seems like a lot of work, but you will have less issues with hotspots later.

Ive been looking around for that the last week or so but all I see in the Russian 91% preorder only for $90
I don't think I would get the clone when the Kayfun Lite is just $20 more
