In your bushes, watching you undress
Ok, I am getting more and more curious (you can thank all of the endless GG threads).... maybe I want a Hot Rod PV.

I currently own:

Multiple 510s
M401 Truesmoker Dragon
Blu
Luci

Already did a Jantystick, HATED IT.
Inconsistent, and the whistle tip atty did not work for me. So any hot rod I look into should probably be a 510 or at least 901 atty tip.

So tell me, why should I buy your favorite? GG, Screwdriver, Prodigy?

I want copious amounts of vapor. I want FULL, RICH flavor. I want to be amazed at the quality. I want to have as few problems as possible... so yes, I DO expect quality for this kind of money!

Go ahead... sell me. Convince me. Spend my money.....

3.7 or 5.0 volts are the two most popular options.
lower voltage preserves the flavor integrity more than the higher.
The higher provides more 'throat hit'.
Both will give you tons af vapor.

I prefer 3.7 which is actually 4.0 to 4.2 when charged.
I use 16340's and 18650's in most of my mods. The 18650 will last for 2 solid days of hard vaping. Up to 4 days but performancs stsrts to fall off a bit on day 3. The smaller 16340 is good for a solid day.

Checkout the Silver Bullet from AltSmoke | Personal Vaporizer : The Yeti, JOYE510, DSE901 and More!

Got a Silver Bullet 2 weeks ago and no hassles yet, very robust switch on it and no accidentally depressing it when in your pocket, etc... Just ordered my second one. Comes standard with 510 and has optional 801 or 901 adapters. Out of the box it is set up to run 3.7v on a 18650 protected battery but will also run on CR123A protected batteries if you prefer 6v vaping. Using a 18650 battery i have got well over 8 hours vaping before needing to change it out. It is polished aluminum and looks just like a hotrod should. Check altsmokes supplier section here on the forums for reviews and discounts going on right now.

Good luck whatever you choose and hope you enjoy your modified vaping experience. I know for me that having a mod made all the difference in the world when it came to vaping.

I can't stress enough... go with a 5 volt model. I use the Prodigy with SLB801 atomizer. Totally happy with it.
Good flavor and tons of vapor!

I have been vaping since spring, and like many others here, ...... away a lot of money looking for the "right" one.

I sold both of my Screw Drivers, and have had NO regrets. 3.7 volts does not cut it... believe me.

I chose to buy American. PureSmoker.com is A-1.

I really doesn't matter to me what you buy, just make sure it's 5 volts... no less!

In my opinion, 5 volts is definitely the "sweet spot".

I've vaped at 6 volts... too much power. It destroys the flavor, and burns up atomizers faster.

Another option is the Adaptever. I have one and like it a lot. He now has a 3.7 volt and a 5 volt version. It's really sturdy which is a good thing since I am clumsy and have dropped it more times than I can count and it still works as well as the day I got it. I'm waiting for my VP2 to ship and I have heard good things about it too.

I've got a Prodigy, a Light Vapor, and the VP2. Of the three, I love the VP2 from VaprLife the most. I wasn't impressed with the Light Vapor at all. The atty mount is just crappily epoxied onto the battery tube - pretty lame really. The Prodigy is sweet - nicely built and attractive but I feel like it just runs too hot. The VP2 is well made, attractive, well-performing, and unfortunately on a two-week backorder presently - they got popular quickly.

Choice, choices...

GG looks nice.

Super T also looks nice. Seems to be the safest (against exploding batteries), and I like the button placement.

Prefer the SIZE of the Silver Bullet, although it seems that it will not perform as good as the other choices

Prodigy seems like the best performer, but not as nice looking.

Looks are secondary, this needs to be about performance.

What should I do? I'll be running mine off 510 attys if that helps.

the VP2 works at the 3.7-4v? or can you juice it up closer to 5v?

From experience with the Prodigy and 510 atty's you'll want to tailpipe it (that's dripping then drawing directly on the atty tube without a mouthpiece installed). The Prodigy gets the atty HOT and can melt 510 mouthpieces if they're not installed exactly right or trimmed to be shorter. In any case, I think a cart with fiberfill is mostly out of the question with the Prodigy and 510 attys; fwiw.

I just heard that VP2s will be shipping on Sept 7.

I've heard great things about the Silver Bullet performance, but haven't tried one yet. I was going to order one, but wanted my next mod to be a pretty one (total girl thing) and liked the look of the VP2 and it's little ring of LEDs. Planning to ask for a SB for xmas.

The Adaptever has worked great ever since I got it and is about the same size as the SB. There is a size comparison on the forums somewhere, but I can't remember where. I think there was a video comparison as well, but I can't be sure.

The good thing is that there are a lot of great mods out there and once you have one, you end up wanting more not because you're not happy with the one you have, but because you want to be able to have more than one set up and charged all the time. I'm thinking it'll be handy to have different flavors in each so I can trade off flavors during the day without having to take off atomizers and carts and such. At least that's the excuse I'll use for being an incurable collector. (tho I think Zof has all of us beat on that :) yes I'm jealous.)

You need to throw a meter across your Prodigy, my restricted switch comes in at 5.8v, even more depending what brand CR123A's im using. Not to mention i have gone through a few switches and only owned it under a month. Steve says I hold the switch down too long. I say he uses a cheap tactile switch that cant handle the amperage, but what do i know, i'm no electrical engineer. He wont gimme specs for it so i can have a friend who is an electrical engineer explain it, so who knows. When the warranty is up maybe i will sell it or put in a proper switch.

My 18650 batts measure in at 4.22v on a fresh charge. Plenty of power and longer lasting in comparison to using the 2x CR123A and the 5v switch.

FYI, the Li-Ion Tenergy CR123A pump out over 4v, and the ones Steve supplies pump out 3.4v fresh charge (also Tenergy). Battery manufacturer and type matters big time when playing the mod game. Try a meter and see for yourself. Bet your not vaping at 5v.
