In the past I reread it as a terrific piece of dystopian fiction.

This time I've reread it as a guidebook for dealing with our government.

When I first learned that FDA was demanding that zero nic eliquid be labeled "made from tobacco" all I could think of was 2+2=5 from 1984. And rats...

He'll be off to Summer recess shortly. Won't be back till September.

I know it ticks people off when I share my doubts about the Senator's true motives in all this but I really believe we don't need a partisan chest-thumper riling up the other side and giving us some kind of false hope that will cause us to sit on our laurels a few weeks longer. Hope from somebody who can't really (without a lot of effort), do anything about it.

I don't Really care if someone is doing it to help them in the Polls. Or if a Law Firm is trying to carve out a name for themselves. Doing something, just about ANYTHING at this point, is more important to Me than purity of Motives.

It's been implied in a few places without any proof or links. Campaign contribution sites don't show anything from Johnson Creek to Sen. Johnson.
