So now .GOV is mentioning raising a pack of cigarettes by $2 per pack, and also talking about making it more expensive to vape than to smoke! (Not in my lifetime). Does Betty Crocker understand what that means? Are they that stupid? I wonder what their intent is to make it more expensive to vape? And states are already taxing vaping liquid- and vaping hasn't been deemed useable yet. In essence, they are taxing stuff we don't even need to buy
. This is just too big with all these rule makers and how to make a buck and they claim that the chemicals used in vaping cause birth defects .

Sometimes I feel we've lost the battle before it's even fought. Too many non vapers involved, too many people losing money so they think they will make it up on us. Sometimes I feel that the only weapon we have is going underground and taking everything away- control, profit, lies and bs . Everyone wants control, and profit. It comes down to manipulating vapers because their losing it elsewhere.

The news source is yahoo news from news in San Diego.

Johnson writes:

"I call on the FDA to cease its implementation of the current regulation over e-cigarettes."

What does it mean for a Federal Agency to "cease implementation"? The deeming regs have already been implemented. The clock is the only thing left before they become law. Does Johnson think he can suspend time? Will the FDA just chuckle and say it was all a prank?

Still sounds like more political bloviating to me.

And what now with the NicoPure suit? If Judge Amy rules on behalf of the FDA Johnson will have to do more than write letters (ad nauseam) if he's serious about this.

You have to Remember that the FDA pretty much Blew Off Sen. Johnson. And that there was a Very Good Chance that he would Not even be in Government after the Election.

So Now that there is Regime Change, and the Shoe is on the other Foot, writing to the FDA as he did is kinda like rubbing Salt into an Open Wound.

Can't say I Blame Him. Probably would have Done the Same Thing if I was in His Position.

I just read the press release stating "Johnson wrote to Department of Labor Secretary Tom Perez, Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Robert Califf, and Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Gina McCarthy last week asking that the Obama administration cease implementation of its burdensome regulations."

I think the country, like a big ship, is just starting to turn away from the arrogant, intellectually superior, nanny government ruling class with their tens of thousands of pompous little bureaucrats ruling over the masses at will, by fiat. We vapers are just one of the many, who knows how many, groups of individuals with shared interests that have been oppressed by excessive regulations. There has been a 'Yuuuge' repudiation of massive government expansion of control over all aspects of society.

I for one, am very encouraged by the wholesale rejection of the political climate that has fostered the current day prohibitionists such as the FDA in it's present form. May their exit from positions of power and removal of their ability to hold sway over the public be swift, sure and complete.

Run them outta town on a rail!

We all need to befriend Senator Ron Johnson, and talk to him about the regulations. IF Trump can get rid of the regulations, he will certainly have about 12 Million Fans in the Vaping world. I believe the new Trump administration will take a closer look at the FDA Regulations. Trump doesn't like regulations at all.

I get real fed up with the public. And fed up with all the people who think they know what's best for others- MYOB!!!!! Why is it never some educated person with some reading skills that makes all these rules for other people?

I am counting on this administration to drain the swamp along with all these regulations .

You're dreaming if you think that much of anything is going to happen with the Trump Administration.

Hard to say what Trump May or May Not get done?

But with the threat of a Presidential Veto removed for Most things, it should be Better Sailing for those who hold a Majority in the House and Senate.

Because that is where the True Power lies in this Country. In the House and the Senate.

If this industry is saved, it will be due to a ripple effect of some other deregulation; a side effect. Either that or Judge Amy rules against the FDA (Which I seriously doubt).

I honestly don't belief that Trump or any other senior administration official even knows what "Vape" means. It's certainly not top-of-mind.

My feeling is that he will out do any of the last presidents , It's his ego. He'll have good luck now because the house and senate are more rebublican. I truly believe we will see more positive change in this country. He's creating a fine cabinet of people who really know their stuff. He's always talking to the public. That's one reason why people liked Reagan.

Liking him or not doesn't really matter. Change from plans that haven't worked in 40 years even tho they were promised. Past changes that ended up costing us a lot of money. 4 wars since Bush #1 that we paid for even for wealthy countries costing us trillions. Trade deals that we lose money on. Not being competitively priced with consumer goods. I won't go on, LOL, but I'd like to see a different approach. From someone who will be using others' brains without writing executive orders to bypass their plans with executive orders. Attempting change from someone who sees things from an economic point of view that hates to see money wasted, talent wasted, and who is cheap.

Sorry I'm being political. But it's not about the person, it's about one saying what they will do and actually doing it. And not spending money on the needy all the time and reworking the source.
