What kind of backwards thinking is that?

I don't think that you understand the government's thinking on this. Vapers need to return to supporting the tobacco market or they DESERVE to die. They HOPE the black market will kill vapers, and also allow the government to like lock UP some uppity vapers who feel they may continue to defy the mandate.

I'm not sure which I would choose. Probably dying from a black market POS vape pod. I mean, in jail you cannot smoke OR vape, I might be required to have sex with some very scary lady who considered me fair game and lets face it, when not UTTERLY TERRIFYING jail is BORING as all get out. I mean, make license plates until I got near the end of my sentence where I was "allowed" to prove my worthiness to society?? I ain't got time for that. My brain is way to awesome which MEANS GET NIC FLAVORS AND REBUILDABLES and do it NOW.

Your government is ACTIVELY trying to squash you or kill you slowly. STOCK UP NOW.

Because I will tell you the government and big tobacco will get NO MORE ONE RED CENT out of me, so I say do what you can.

There is no logic. There is only money, politics, and how you choose to go out.

Vapers don't pay tobacco tax, AFAIK. States collected over $12 billion from cigarette sales last year. I'm sure we are viewed as a potential loss as people switch from smoking to vaping (or quitting using their vape). I've expected to see a tax shift onto vape liquid, but it hasn't happened. I guess our numbers aren't enough to worry them yet.

The excise tax on vaping products in my state is 98%. It does vary a lot between states though. Not sure where the money goes. It’s different for every state I suspect.

Bummer. Sales tax where I live is 7%. 4% state and 3% local. There's excise tax on gas, cigarettes, liquor, wine, and beer. We call it a Sin Tax!

It's time to buy all the spare atomizers you'll ever need before they are taken off the market. Good luck with MTL atomizers. Most everything I see is DTL.

“Vaping companies have hooked millions of our children on nicotine using e-cigarette flavors like ‘gummy bear,’ ‘scooby snacks,’ and ‘strawberries and cream.’ This means massive health consequences for the next generation,” Merkley added. “Refillable cartridges are an invitation to hazardous concoctions, and we need to get them off the market too.”

Too bad we can't place excise taxes on politician's income, because it's certainly a sin they get paid anything for the job they do.

Theres a thread about Ontario being sucked in.
They are currently taking the “wait and see” approach.

I have complained that cartoony character labels for years would hurt us and this becoming a big issue and helping drive the flavour bans.

Same with 60mg/ml nic salts in closed pods. 10-20x stronger than what most of us are currently vaping. Surprised more people aren’t getting sick at that strength regardless of the wattage.

Senate eyes e-cigarette crackdown

Here is the scariest part of the article. “Refillable cartridges are an invitation to hazardous concoctions, and we need to get them off the market too.”

They want to get rid of everything other than disposable carts in tobacco flavor. Plus they want to tax them the rate of cigarettes. The whole thing is BS. I am so angry right now.

It's just a Chance for a Few to jump into the Spotlight. And to get a Free Ride on the e-Cigarette FUD Train to Rhetoricville.

It's all Basically going to go away in 233 Days or so anyway.

This has always been about closed systems taxed heavily. They only care about that. Big tobacco can only control the market if it is regulated and taxed.

And as vapers not paying taxes like we did on cigarettes, we are the target of government tax agencies.

A pack of cigarettes is over $10 here....State tax on a pack is $2.87 then there is a federal and city tax too. This is billions of dollars lost as they see it.
