I hate to be the one to tell you this folks, but
1) I understood all the jokes
2) I could either fill in the blank or knew but couldnt spit it out.
3) I remember a little black & white TV in our kitchen. IT had a couple round dials, rabbit ears, and it always fuzzed out fast
4) Our dog and were always having puppies, cause who knew about spaying?

When my 4 or 5 year old fall and scrape a knee they are told to either suck it up or I will take them inside, give em a band aide and tuck them in for a nap- amazing how fast the ouch goes away!
Which also means my kids are outside playing, not inside stuck to technology....

Which also means, its the previos generations job to instill good values to the next generation. Kids may not be brought up by parents who do this, but osmosis is still there :)

I'll get out of your room now and leave you in peace. But you forgot a couple things on that list:

Tom Minx and "____"
A white sport coat and a "_____ _______"
A "_______" skirt.
What animal did women put in their for volume?
"______" loafers.
Say good night, Gracie... "Good night _____"
The Alfred Hitchcock movie that was nearly banned for its shower scene was "_____".
I got a _______ of 'em.
Only the ______ knows.

Have you noticed that there are a lot of stores that do it only on certain days?
And not many on the same day!!!

Yes, and I think it's quite cruel. I can hardly remember what day it is let alone what specific day a store is offering their discount. lol I actually left one store when the clerk mentioned "you could have a discount on Thursday." "What, this isn't Thursday? I'll be back if I can remember that." And I left. Okay, I was just buying some little goofy thing I decided I didn't need and it was funny to see her face. Ah, the things you can get away with when you're a senior. :D

And, Pam, I love George and Gracie. Wish they'd bring back re-runs. That would be a good night. :)

Speaking of ice cream, I have this issue these days with dinner. I don't want to eat late, hubby doesn't want to eat too early. During these hot months, we are usually outside with friends in the early evening. You know, when most reasonable people sit down to eat. We want to enjoy the cooler part of the day outdoors. So, when do we eat?

I think I'm heading for that Seinfeld episode, "C'mon, it's 4 o'clock; we can catch the early bird at xyz diner." Hubby has Jerry's reaction - it's only 4 o'clock! lol Does anyone else have this problem?

I think she's cute. They all are. lol I'm just surprised she was so bold. Under the bonkers umbrella I will also confess this; a couple of months ago when we had about 12 ducks flying up for food I had a severe chat with them about fowling our patio. I made them all wait for food until I had hosed down the area. Since then, there has only been one booboo. My husband thinks I'm nuts but how else can you explain it? We used to hose down the patio several times a day.

We still have 3 ducks flying up. Usually they stop their trek late spring and we don't see them again until the next spring. At one point, every week I was buying 10 bags of chips, 4 loaves of bread and 2 boxes of crackers (for Gramps) to keep them happy. lol

*waving to wendal*

I'd like to share I was a complete pond-potato yesterday. I fed the cats (they refuse to acknowledge the ducks) and grabbed my book and read in my pond. Fed the ducks, watched the 200 birds at the 6-hole birdfeeder try to get their share. Then I got another book and started the process all over again. What a great day. :)

..........

That is cool about the ducks. I got a dog, she'd chase them away!!!

Good thing they come to my house then. :D

My cats mostly ignore the birds at the birdfeeder, if you can believe it! But, if the birds are hanging out around the bushes not paying attention to sneaky cat....well, that's still a small issue. The good new is, the cats like to bring their catch into the house to chase. Hubby is then able to capture the bird and set it free. (Otherwise, I'd have to take the feeder down.)

Does anyone else find themselves having a softer spot for creatures as we mature? I have trouble swatting a fly now.
