Maybe I missed a thread , but have you seen this ? I'm thinking of going on the list before it gets crazy out of control. It would be my first genny, but the price isn't too crazy if its not for me.

I think I might get the one with the wood sleeve on the top cap.

looks pretty nice even with the brushed finish and logo comes out just over 100 bucks not bad plus he will do custom wickholes and topcap airholes.
lol wish i wasnt short the scratch this week.

just dont use any pluid in it and your fine its the same material as the AC9 tank and his are melting.
(now if he would just offer a glass tank option).

Yeah I don't have the money right now either , but from the sounds of it you don't need to pay upfront. The list is at 385 waiting and he does about 2 a day ish. Ill have a while to save up. Just waiting for a conformation email to set up an account and cause I don't have it maybe he does it all manually.

I have been on the list for a while but I do have some concerns. I am not a fan of the pop on cap after bad experiences with the ZAP. Much prefer precision screw caps like the DID. Looking at the design the sleeve is very short with only a single o ring. I have some time to decide as it will be a while until my number comes up. Anyone else just a little concerned about that aspect?

depends on the way its made. the ZAP is on a short list for this problem. even the ac9 which doesnt have a lot of top base to grab holds fairly well. and this is probably the one thing i wish ZEN would address and fix.

(let he orings on a cobra get dry and you need channel locks almost lol)

Did you have to put any money down at all ?

The only thing that concerns me is the 510 connector being a little tall, Todd had some issues with getting it to sit flush , and it would sit flush on one mod and that was after he changed an o ring.

No. You don't need to put any money down. When he gets down to you on the list you will be contacted and asked if you want to go ahead. May as well jump on because it will cost you nothing which is a nice way to do things I think.

Sorry, you lost me . . . checked the original post . . . what has being solid got to do with it? Perhaps you are talking about my top cap comments. That still stands. I didn't say the atty does not look awesome and I am still on the list for this reason. I will back out if negative comments start to come in about the cap however. I just made an observation based on my bad experience with the cap on the ZAP (along with many others who have commented on the issue). This model based on the pics seems to have less overlap than the ZAP and also uses the single o ring design. Apologies if this is not what you are referring to.

Depending on how it's built condensation build up up top,works its way into the center and with a solid sealed it goes nowhere. With this I'm just wondering if that potential is there still but now would work its way down. Are there any others with opens? I just haven't noticed any

Oh absolutely no problem. I took it lightly. I knew how it was going to be received being as its not something I or anyone else really thinks about very much. It's not something I think anyone would notice right away either which is also why I wanted to bring it up

dam...it is looking good. major selling point for me would be the hybrid connection with the Caravela. available next month?
