I have a great big bush right by the corner of my house. I just got to open the window and the house is instantly perfumed with their smell. I LOVE lilacs. One of my favorite flowers. I just wish they bloomed all summer long.

Me too, Mudder, but if they bloomed all summer they just wouldn't be as special!

When they bloom that's when I truly know that summer is here.

I lived in the States for 12 years. My friends and family in the States learned about my love of Lilacs and how it reminded me of home. There are lilacs there, (Southern US) but the ones here have such a stronger fragrance. I have been home, back in Canada now for 4 years and never did I smell the lilacs like I am now... So wonderful!! Loving every sweet breeze!:p

Something I had happen today is my neighbour brought back this shiatsu pillow I lent him 3 weeks ago and him and his wife are smokers.

It stunk so bad of cigarettes I had to put it outside for a few hours and scrub the hell out of it after. But it still STINKS! I'm talking gut wretching stank!! And even my old eGo kit that I lent him so he could try vaping out stinks of cigarettes......... whatever!

I'm so glad I found vaping and that I never have to have that kind of funk in my house anymore :)

Well, I have never really been one to "Stop and smell the flowers" per se. I started smoking at 9, so my sense of smell and taste were effected from a young age. But now I am a vaper and there really IS a whole new world of scent out there.

I recently returned to my hometown and whilst I was enjoying a long walk around the neighborhood I had a chance to actually stop and smell the roses in someone's flower garden...

Needless to say it was a strange experience.. being a grown man and just now smelling something I should already know.

I know what you mean. When my daughter comes back from visitation with her father everything, including her, gets cleaned.

I hope it was a strange but wonderful experience Noiz. One should always stop and smell the flowers, I hope you stop more often now.

oh ya, the smell of a fresh pot of coffee in the morning is sublime, even if my morning is afternoon ;)
it really has enhanced my motorcycle rides for sure. I've always hated city riding, and getting out to smell a field that has been freshly cut, or stopping at a corn field. I even found myself sniffing an apple before I took a bite the other day, and a peach. hell most everything I eat now gets a sniff first because it has added to the experience, and my belly is starting to show my love of food again haha
