I've seen other posts all over the ecig forum in general about returning sense of taste and sense of smell, I couldn't really relate to them all that much until right now. I thought after a couple of weeks of zero cigs, mine had returned. They hadn't, they're on overdrive right now. I can smell fast food joints for miles and the thing I am noticing the most is the exhaust from automobiles.

Those exhaust fumes are the worst, really stong and smell awful, but nothing to do about that.

Oh, just looky at what I've been missing all these years I've been smoking.

My taste buds are going crazy, too.

Looks like I'm going to be cleaning the house from top to bottom to get all the unpleasant smells out, mainly smoke odor. Anybody wanna come over and help me clean?

My truck is stinky, too, from smoking inside it for years.

vaping is making a lot of extra work for me. :D

LOL Yeah, I know that smell.

On a side note, my dog's breath was horrendous, I started feeding her some raw meaty beef rib bones several times a week, it cleaned all the tarter off her teeth, they were sparkling white after a couple of weeks of this and her breath didn't smell anymore.

If you do this, just make sure that you pick up the bones before they dry out or they can splinter and hurt their intestines.

If the dog is small, he/she will still appreciate a big bone. :)

Yeah, I actually thought there was something wrong with my car, I kept thinking that the exhaust pipe was broken and leaking into my car. It took me a few days to figure out I was actually smelling the exhaust from other cars!! LOL

My sense of smell returned about a month ago, but I have yet to do all the serious cleaning in my house that I need to do. Any volunteers?

For the car I think I'm going to take it to the car wash and pay the extra $ to get it detailed. But keeping family from smoking in it after that will take a bit more effort and finesse, LOL.

The worst smell to me is, get this, a SMOKER coming back from their smoke break! To think I was subjecting people to that for 30+ years. I won't complain to them about it, because I don't want to be one of "those" non-smokers. But seriously, ICK.

Yeah, some of life's other smells I wish I was still missing...such as and speaking of dogs - we have a border collie/husky mix puppy who is absolutley adorable but so GASSY! He can easily clear a room.

My sense of smell hasn't returned yet, because I still can't ditch the analogs. But I do know what you mean about gassy dogs!! We had a boston terrier when I was a kid - whew! it was constant!
