I really do not know what else to do. I am fed up with constantly having to mess with stuff, spending uber amounts of money on things that never work as promised and just the general hassle that has been my vaping experience over the last two years.

Really what it boils down to is I never get a satisfactory vape. On the of chance that I do it comes with entirely too much hassle. I find that I am happy with rda's because I get enough vapor, flavor and nic to satisfy my needs but along with it comes the mess. They are constantly leaking if not kept upright and not to mention having to drip which is not easy or to be frank, safe when you spend over 4 hours a day commuting.

I LOVE carto tanks when they work properly for the juice capacity but I cant deal with having such a tight draw.

The Kayfun and kayfun style devices also fall under the carto tank category with the added displeasure of maybe one build out of 5 actually works the way it should (please do not tell me I am building it wrong. I have tried every build and suggestion on this website on four different KF style devices over the last year.) And covering the air hole and sucking is NOT a solution. If it does happen to work, again the draw is too tight.

I am tired of the mess.
I am tired of the loads of equipment and supplies.
I am tired of dry hits.(if i wanted to burn something i would have never started this adventure.)
I am tired of spending more and more money in hopes that I may, just may have found something that will work for me.
I really am just tired of this.

There used to be a time where I could just walk into a store, buy my coffee and a pack of smokes and go on with my life.

Now, I have to make sure batteries are charged, make sure coils and device work, make sure I have enough juice for the day, make sure I have enough supplies If something needs to be fixed.

I really am not trying to rant. I'm am posting this here as I feel this community is probably the only people that understand what I am ....*ing about. Really, I just hope someone here has gone through the same issue and has found their happy vape place.. I really wish and want to find mine.

I consider myself a hobbiest so I like the journey I've taken and the number of devices I've used, and still use. If I could go back and select just one as the end all be all device it would be a REO with an RM2 atty. simple to build, simple to use, easy to fill, and goes with me everywhere. It's worth trying before giving up on vaping.

I'm not exactly qualified to give advice since I've only been vaping seriously for 8 months but I have a few kernels of info:1. Do NOT buy a REO if you like buying new equipment like the latest greatest mods and attys. Yes you will probably buy more than one REO.
2. Be prepared to decrease you nicotine%.
3. Be prepared to buy more juice. It just tastes very very good and is easy to use.

I gotta chime in here too. I'm not usually the fangirl type, but seriously - look into the REO Grand LP + Odin Bottom Fed atomizer from Loki Labs. This will solve all of your problems and you will be VERY satisfied. Huge capacity, no constant dripping, nice hard hits, no leaking. I can't even fathom you finding it sub par.

:( I'm sorry your experience ended this way. But hey, you are 2 years analog free. Don't give up now!

Have you tried the Magma RBA? It has amazing flavor, and a LARGE well and I set mine on the side all the time without leaking issues. I do use quite a bit of cotton in it though to fill the whole well and just soak that sucker with juice. It also has single or dual hole adjustable airflow.

Hasn't ended yet :)

I've been thinking about a magma. I really like the features it has. Maybe I will go look at one tonight if they local BM has one.

I hear you..... Constantly buying new stuff, coils that taste yuck, paltry vapor, etc, etc. Many have been there done that.

I want simple last all day satisfaction. I don't want to rebuild. Or drip. So I finally found a simple, consistent vape combination. In fact I've sold off everything else I own and my setup lasts from 7:00 AM until I go to bed with little fuss.

What is this wondrous combination you might ask?? It's a Provari with a full size Nautilus (5ml) tank and BVC coils. This combines the best of a cartomizer with a clearomizer, and it's about as trouble free as one could want or need. The BVC coil in my Nauty is now working flawlessly for 14 days, with vapor that tastes great and volumes of vapor that is voluminous.

I use AW 18490 batteries and one lasts all day. I'm pushing the 1.8 ohm coil at 4.4 volts. I fill up the tank when I go to bed, put in a new battery, charge the used battery and grab and go in the morning.

It doesn't get much easier or at least for me, more satisfying.

Well I think I will give a Reo a shot. Just gotta start saving... lol

:D I just said yesterday in some thread that if I was gonna get a REO, I'd need 6 lucky numbers first, or at least 5. :D They do sound great, but I don't really think it's something for me; so far I really haven't liked dripping, much too airy, though I do have a caterpillar for tasting new juice (way too airy, even with just one hole open!), and I just ordered an Igo-S today, apparently its small size and small airhole may provide more of the kind of vape I like; less air, tight draw, good flavor. I hope it works for me better than the caterpillar; I'm starting to do the DIY juice thing, and I need to be able to easily taste stuff; right now I'm using my kayfun nano instead of the caterpillar so I can tell what it will *really* taste like to me in my preferred tank, my regular kayfuns.

Someone mentioned that there are new developments coming, in bottom-feeding thingies -- like the REO -- so maybe something more affordable will hit the market soon.

What I'm not getting here is, you want an airy draw and considered or are considering going back to tobacco!

Devices with that tight draw are that way to mimic the draw on combustibles.

The REO, sounds like the go to deal for you, or one of the newer RDTA (Rebuildable Dripping Tank Atomizers) available now.

Not keen on the whole rebuilding thing, get jiggy with silica wicks and 20g kanthal a1 in any of the RDTAs and slap it on a DNA something box mod or a good old REO. You'll be set for an ungodly length of time with little more than a daily burning and flush with PGA before bed. Wake up and soak your wick and vape away.

My happy place is with a mesh wicked genny, some good DIY, and a four bay charger.

Well you have a decent mod and tank set up but I have to ask what kayfun you are using and how are you building it. I've used every clone brand made and can probably tell you what to look for on yours and how to improve the flow. Being a machinist you will have better tools than my dremel to use.

Authentic 3.1
Russian 91%
Clone lite +
Mini clone

I cant remember what brand the clones are.

I mainly use the 91 and the 3.1

I just do the standard micro coil builds with 28g. Ohms are from 0.8 - 2.0. diameters are 5/64 - 7/64. I use either cellucotton or organic cotton balls. I've tried all the wicking styles and densities suggested here. i keep the wick out of the channels. o-rings are good. It always just takes a few builds to get it right.

There already is. It's called a Vmod and compared to a Reo it's a $50.00 waste of money (if you can get it on sale at $50.00) with too many parts, lightweight parts, parts that break, non replaceable parts and requires significant screwing around with in order to get it to work with an RBA. Dead short it once and collapse the spring - sorry, no replacement parts - but they will be more than happy to sell you another Vmod to replace it.

The Vision Eternity bottom feeding thing is new-ish that you can stick on an eGo battery. See "waste of money" as above. Bottle capacity is a whopping 1.8 ml's. Doing anything with it is still largely a two handed operation with the Eternity feed window on the eGo waaay up there and the rest of the battery and fire button waaay down there. That would be another $30.00 you will never see again.

$50.00 here... $30.00 there... - that's half way to a Reo. Seriously, this is one if you want to not waste money you have to pony up and buy a Reo - once.

You mentioned several times about dry hits on the Kayfun ... How much juice are you putting in it? I noticed if i overfill mine (above the glass using the fill hole or even as high as possible from the top) within about 8-10 hits it will start dry hitting. At that point, I just start to unscrew the very top section (above the tank) enough and to start to let pressure equalize then it is fine for the rest of the tank. You will see air bubbles coming up as you unscrew the top. Just a thought.

You know my wife is at the same point as you but I have sailing smoothly through my whole vape experience. She tired of the juice tired of hte battery etc but I flat out told her there was no way i was going back but if she she wanted to she could. She actually stopped everything for over a week then smoked a few cigs then finally picked up vaping again. I haven't looked back since the switch.

what were you expecting??? Im serious... just what did you have in mind when you started vaping as to how it should be?

I have noticed that too. I turn it upside down and fill until it reaches the top of the window. there is usually a large bubble inside it so I dont think I am over filling.

Not trying to change a subject here, but i have never heard of either of these. I like the draw on most of my carts, but there is always room for a litte more air on my think liquids. Please educate me. PM if you want i would just like to learn so i dont take up this post. Thank you!

Just about every 510 Carto, Clearo, Tank, etc has 2 Side Air Holes right above the threads on the Battery Connector. If you Make 1 or Both of these Holes a Larger Diameter, it make the Draw Easier.

I use Clearos and it is SOP for me to Open Up the side holes using a 1/16" Drill.

If you look at your cartos, you will see two little airholes near the base about the threading. Those are the holes Zoi is talking about drilling out.

the paperclip "method" is just sticking a paperclip down the tube in the carto and wiggling it around to widen the tube giving you more room for air to flow through. you have to be careful though. you are also sticking the paperclip through the coil/s as well.

Correct me if I am wrong.

No... You are Right on the Money.

The Rolling Pin Method is where you GENTLY push a Straightened Out Paper-Clip thru the Battery End of a Carto until it comes out the Hole in the Mouth Piece. The you Roll the Carto on the Paper Clip just like a Rolling Pin.

The Key is to Leave the Mouth Piece in the Carto. It acts like a Guide when you do the Rolling.

Best to Practice on a Used/Old Carto First. It takes a Little Feel to know if you have Snagged the Coil Wire or Not. If you Feel like you have Snagged the Coil Wire, or if there is much Resistance, DON'T Force. Pull it out and try pushing it in again a Slightly Different Angle.
