An iTaste MVP 2.0 might be worth looking into.

Might not be able to do Sub-Ohming. But for GP vaping it is a Great APV for the Price.

absolutely I have a "fiddle factor rating" and my mod's at my kiddos..Ed and I use an MVP with the Kanger Mega/V2 with the new sub ohm .8 coils and call it a day, we've got a few "premium" juices we like, but some basic flavors that come in 102ml and are about $40, we did an inventory this morning as some more came in and seriously we could probably go six months and not buy another things (a couple of packs of the sub ohm coils are due in) but it's really a good vape for us, very satisfying and I don't have to swap batteries or build coils (I've got two MVP's and Ed does too) uses the same plug as the cell's too.

sorry you're having such difficulty. If you want to smoke you know how that goes..you will. But it seems like you've made it this far you just need a little more "simplification" it sounds like.

Just about every 510 Carto, Clearo, Tank, etc has 2 Side Air Holes right above the threads on the Battery Connector. If you Make 1 or Both of these Holes a Larger Diameter, it make the Draw Easier.

I use Clearos and it is SOP for me to Open Up the side holes using a 1/16" Drill.

No... You are Right on the Money.

The Rolling Pin Method is where you GENTLY push a Straightened Out Paper-Clip thru the Battery End of a Carto until it comes out the Hole in the Mouth Piece. The you Roll the Carto on the Paper Clip just like a Rolling Pin.

The Key is to Leave the Mouth Piece in the Carto. It acts like a Guide when you do the Rolling.

Best to Practice on a Used/Old Carto First. It takes a Little Feel to know if you have Snagged the Coil Wire or Not. If you Feel like you have Snagged the Coil Wire, or if there is much Resistance, DON'T Force. Pull it out and try pushing it in again a Slightly Different Angle.

That's a awesome idea. I'll have to give that a shot next time I pick up on of my carto tanks.

That is the Advantage some of Old Timers have.

We have lived thru the Days when things like Cartos or Clearos were kinda Funky right out of the Box. And things needed to be Tweaked to make them Work Right.

The 3.1 I can't tell you much. I prefer the lite. But on the Russian there is a couple things you can do. Drill out the tip to a straight bore. Drill out the air hole to 1.9 mm. Increase the juice channel depth by .5 mm on the vertical and make sure the horizontal channel goes just slightly past the vertical. If they meet perfectly it still creates a flow choke at that corner. The hole in the center post should be 1.2-1.5 mm, all the way through and inline with the base air hole when assembled.

On the builds. Stay with 3/32 or 7/64 ID coils in the 1.4-2.2 ohm range. Do not compress the coil and torch while compressed. Just dry fire and squeeze until it glows evenly. "Contact" coils choke off air flow to the middle wraps burning the juice and wick in the center giving the same effect as a dry hit (low vapor and burnt taste) after a few hits.

I knew there was some reason I don't like compressed coils, even with rayon. I like a tight draw, but not a burnt one!

I can remember the Joye 510 days. Dry hits were normal operation. We went from the cotton cart fill and the Polyfill to the blue fish tank filter Fluval that you had to buy at the pet store. Then, you had to cut pieces of plastic drink stirrer straws to make the Fluval stand up from the bottom of the cart so more juice would fit in.

Then, we got eGos and went through type A, B, and C plastic tanks that leaked in our pockets. Finally we discovered Boge cartos. First decent and reliable vape I remember was from a Boge carto. I just didn't know what a good vape was until then! I carried a 3ml bottle of juice in my pocket to top it off every 20 or 30 minutes.

When Protank arrived I thought I was in vaping heaven.

Yeah... Back then, it wasn't so much Which product worked well? As it was Which product was Easier to Tweak to Make Work Well.

Seemed that there was a Trick for Everything. Be it Re-Stuffing a Cart. Or Roller Pinning a Carto. Or the Entire 3 Steps Forward, 2 Steps back that was the CE2 Saga. The List of Fixes and Hot tips was Endless.

Good Times Though. Kinda the Golden Age in a Way.

BTW - When ever I see the Word "Fluval" (which is Exceedingly Rare these Days) I think of John Cleese and Fawlty Towers for some Reason.

And have to say Fluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuval in a Silly English Voice.

Not sure Why? But I Do.

Op, sounds like your biggest problem is not being able to sort through what will or will not work for YOU. Don;t feel singled out. Many of us have gone through this.
I also understand your RDA-itus. Once you experience a good flavorful Vape on a wide open device everything else seems tight. Still, it is just as much a mind thing as any.
I use Kayfuns daily and limit my dripping. Why do that? Simple - there are many times I will need a more convenient device and I want to enjoy my vape.

We can't eat Ice Cream all the time :D

My friend is going to let me borrow a erlkönigon or how ever you spell it. He swears by it and says the draw is much better than a KF. We will see how that goes.

Other than that, someone offered to let me try the REO if I'm ever in the area. I may just do that just. I just have no clue when.

Thanks for the support and the suggestions everyone. The last few days have been rough and everyone's encouragement was helpful.

Keep the suggestions coming. I'm always open to try new things.

Sent using these stoopid hooves..

I'm not as experienced as the previous posters, so I'd listen to them. But one thing I feel like I should mention; I've tried to get into vaping a few times over the last 4 years or so. And each time, it's closer and closer to "right."

I just got back in about 4 months ago, and this time I feel like the industry is sooo close to figuring everything out, and I've finally invested. I have the Nautilus Mini, and although it's amazing when it works, it can still be a huge pain in my as%, I feel your pain. There doesn't seem to be an easy answer. But my advice....give this industry just a little more time. I feel like it's about to hit a tipping point. Just my take as a casual spectator until recently. Good luck man.

I just came back from where you are heading...don't, just don't. Facing a grim personal setback, I threw an ..... and sold all my Reos/Attys/vape gear then bought a fresh pack of my favorite smokes...figuring I had nothing to loose at this point. I was wrong - and so were the doctors.

Now, back to my sane self, I am slowly buying back my vape gear. It consist of the only things I missed out of 1000 of dollars my hubby and I have spent over the last few years vaping - my Reo Mini and Cyclone (new AFC heading my way as I type this!).

The thing is...you are 1000 times better off now than going back to smoking. If you are serious about the Reo, you can always send redeyedancer a PM and ask if he has a "blemished" Reo (he sells them at very reduced price even though most blems you cannot find a thing wrong with them). The RM2 is an incredible atty - some say the best for single coil.

I wish you all the best on your journey! What ever you decide, do come visit Reoville (Reo Mods forum) - greatest group of people bar none!
