Is there a regulated device like the Reo? After getting a Hana, I really like the consistency.

There is a VV REO Grand as well. I don't think he makes them anymore, but you can see them pop up on the classifieds here occasionally.

You have to be lucky if you want one as they tend to last just a few hours before someone buys them.

I bought a protank with an adjustable airflow thing for the base. I stuck it on an MVP and am happy. I have a little metal bottle on my key ring that holds juice and I can just keep rockin for a couple days... I was a 30 year smoker and I did not want a new hobby. Just a longer life. This works for me.

Have you tried Increasing the Draw of you Cartos by using a Straightened Paper Clip/Rolling Pin technique?

Or Opened up the Side Holes con the Carto above the Threads with a 1/16" Drill?

Seems like Increasing the Draw of a Carto shouldn't be a Insurmountable Challenge.

Not trying to change a subject here, but i have never heard of either of these. I like the draw on most of my carts, but there is always room for a litte more air on my think liquids. Please educate me. PM if you want i would just like to learn so i dont take up this post. Thank you!

Going off on a tangent, I have an Aspire Nautilus Mini tank using the newer BVC coils on a 1600 VV Aspire Battery. I love it. The Nautilus Mini produces great consistent vapor with consistent taste and the BVC coil is super easy to change out when needed.

Not a tangent. I've thought about checking out the Nautilus. I've heard good things.

If you look at your cartos, you will see two little airholes near the base about the threading. Those are the holes Zoi is talking about drilling out.

the paperclip "method" is just sticking a paperclip down the tube in the carto and wiggling it around to widen the tube giving you more room for air to flow through. you have to be careful though. you are also sticking the paperclip through the coil/s as well.

Correct me if I am wrong.

I really do not want to give it up. I do feel better both physically and mentally. I guess you are right about the El Dorado point. I might be looking for the holy grail. I will keep it up. I do feel better after venting. Thanks for the reply, you put a nice perspective spin on it.

Absolutely my pleasure.

Now let the enumeration of wonderful mod, tank, coil, wick, and juice recommendations continue.....

That is actually the setup I started with and still own. I just was never satisfied with the vapor production. I really like a full thick vapor. I really am not a cloud chaser. In fact, I wish it was possible to get that thick and full feeling without the clouds. I did love that setup though. It worked 90% of the time without the slightest fuss.

The Sunbox E7 is a bottom feeding DNA30 mod that is made in Italy. It's very pricey (well north of $300) and difficult to find, especially state side.

There is the Redsky mods thread, and he makes some models of wood bottom feeders with Evolv chips in them.

You can throw a 18490 + Kick 2 in a Reo Grand. A taller version (the former VV Reo body size) that takes a 18650 + Kick 2 is coming very soon.

Truth be told: I've got 99 problems and lack of regulation in my Reo ain't one. With RDAs on a mech, once you find your standard build, it's non-issue. Plus, you could throw your Reo in a lake, leave it there for a month, fish it out, shake it off, and it's ready to vape.

Both the mod and the atomizer feeding system are bullet proof.

Cheers

I can understand the hassle of having to deal with vaping, carrying liquid and other supplies, and making sure there's a charged battery supply handy. It's all part of vaping. I'm assuming that you are working and having to deal with this, especially since you mentioned a 4 hour commute.

For me, it's something I started right after early retirement, so I'm around the house enough to take care of the overhead. When I go out, I fill my 4.5ml Kayfun and grab a battery box with a spare 18650 and a filled carto just in case I break the Kayfun or the coil pops.

No matter what your age, going back to smoking increases the chances of developing Emphysema, Cancer, COPD, or any of the other health hazards associated with inhaling tobacco. That, in itself would keep me vaping.

So what you need is a good vape that doesn't leak, is easy to fill, lasts a while without constant refilling, and you can carry in a pocket. I'm thinking Smoktech Cartos (without the tank). I keep those around and find them to be a fairly easy draw. When I vape one of those, I usually chuck it after a day or two. You still have to top off or change to a fresh one, but if you use the cap fill method it's easy to fill several at night and keep them in a snap top battery box for a quick change when necessary.

Check out the EHPro kayfun v2. You can't lung hit it but it has the easiest draw of all the clones I've tried and the best machining of them all. The fogger can be good but it demands lung hits.

I've pretty much dropped everything including other kayfun versions and stick to my EHPro v2's. I run 1.5-2,2 ohm coils on a 3/32 or 7/64 bit using cellucotton wicks or kgd.

The hardest part for me is not having a mix of flavors. If I stick to one flavor too much I get bored with it and lose the desire to vape.

I should add that I am now using a dovpo emech mod. Works great so far and has on board charging easing the batt hassle.

Reo's are something I've always wanted to try just never have.

If you need a cure for four hours of commuting a day you should seriously look at a Reo Grand. You still use RBA's - or cartos - or stock attys even - on it but feed any of those options one-handed. Once you get the feel down for how feeding works you don't even look at a Reo to feed. Your maintenance comes down to rewicking your coil as needed and refilling a 6 ml feed bottle as needed. (Some people use the same coil on a Reo dripper for months even.) If you don't want to carry rebuilding supplies just pack a stock carto or atty as an emergency backup.

Choose a Low Profile (LP) Reo as most attys designed for bottom feeding can be mounted on it. If you have some RDA's right now that you love contact this guy to find out if they can be changed to bottom feeders. => http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-supplier-forum/581604-catfish-atty-mods.html

Worst case scenario? If you just hated a Reo you could always sell it in the classifieds, and only lose about 10 - 20% of what you paid for it. They hold their value.

Yep. you nailed it. I've tried many, many flavors and there is only one I love. And I cant even buy it in more than 30ml

Thats why im in love with my hana. I can just plug it in anytime and charge.

All the Reo suggestions really have me thinking about one.

Drilling a RDA to match up for the Reo would not be an issue. My profession is CNC programming/machinist :)

The twisted 28g coil in my all day vape RM2 was born December 26th 2013, I raved about it in this post HERE, and she still works like new today with every other day dry burning, rinsing under a faucet, and re-wicking. A two minute routine.

Seriously, it's hard to get any easier and dependable than that. 9 months??? You bet. When that coil finally does die, it most certainly deserves a posthumous thread in Reoville. :D

Cheers

I feel you pain t2ak. The wife has a MVP and she loves it, but I find the vape draw to tight. What I noticed is that the MVP center pin sets a bit higher and it has a tendency to squish the silicone insulator and this seals around the coil base and tightens the draw. What did help was changing the bases on the ProTanks II to air flow control bases. if you have a Aerotank I think it has a tight draw because of the stacked duel coils. I also use juice that is in the 70-80% PG range. It gives the throat hit and lung hit without a monster cloud. I use a Kmax+ and VTR as my mods. If you happen to be married, you can do with I do. When she says she is almost ready I know I have plenty of time to fill a tank, look at the remaining battery voltage and change batteries if needed. It's the ritual you get used to. It used to be lighter, cigs, cell phone, wallet.
Now it's full tank, full battery, cell phone, wallet.
I hope you can find your sweet spot. it took me several months to find mine. I've been stinky free since June 2013 and I was a 30 year smoker, with the last 10 being two packs a day.

I hear ya.

Packing a box of smokes then flipping open a zippo.. easy and quick. I wish vaping was that way.

There are things I loved about smoking and things I hated. Same with vaping. I just decided to choose to stick with vaping. More pluses... less cons...

Then I made a conscious choice to make vaping cheap. Now it is cheap.
